Murphy Bed

Which villas at Walt Disney have the murphy bed in the one bedroom? I would like to have a place for my daughter (31), my son (20) and of course me and my husband. My daughter and son would prefer to sleep in separate bed and why I'm trying to figure out what resorts have the murphy be under the tv.

The only 1BR DVC unit with a murphy bed is at VGF. The 1BR (Standard/Savannah) at AKV has a sleeper chair, as do the 1BR units at Old Key West and Bay Lake Tower.

The 1BR Value at AKV is only rated for 4, and has only 2 sleep surfaces. Saratoga, BCV, WLV and BWV all sleep 5, but only have sleeping surfaces for 4 (two sleep surfaces) and require you to BYOBed for #5.

My son is about 5'7" and was perfectly fine on the murphy at GFV. He's about 125 lbs. He said it was very comfy.


For an adult who might not be as easy to please as my kid, I'd rather go for the pullout chair.

I'm 5'7", 34 years old, and have slept on the murphy bed on 3 seperate trips (a 5 day, 6 day, and 8 day.). I like the murphy bed. I found it to be comfortable and didn't feel it was too small.

I figured the murphy bed would be better than the pull out chair. I guess I have to reconsider. I think my kid will do fine on the murphy bed as well, but options are great.

67, 5'8'', and not under 150 lbs. I routinely sleep on that bed! I find it more convenient than unfolding the sleep sofa, then closing it up each morning. I've slept extremely well on the Murphy bed! Better than on the sleep sofa.

However, she asked about 1BRs.

Studios are a different thing. The studios at BWV, BCV, VGF, VWL/BRV and PVB all have a murphy bed in the studio. But it sounds very much like OP wants to be in a separate room from her kids, who also do not like sharing a sleep surface. I can respect that in every way, because I like having a door between me and my kids, and it is something out of Dante to share a sleep surface with my daughter. And not out of Paradiso, neither.
