I have so many questions my mind is just in a whirl and dont know where to start!!! We are a party of 6 that includes 4 adults, a 16 yr old and a 10 yr old. We are going to WDW in November 2015 for 7 nights and planning to fly allegiant from Chatt. Tennessee to Sanford airport. Here are my concerns ( I apologize ahead of time for having a lot of questions and the possibility that they may seem dumb to some/most of you lol)

1. Trying to determine if i should pay extra and purchase the seats so im sure we are all sitting together, or would it even be an option, to just pay for priority boarding (which is cheaper) so maybe we could get on first and get 1st pick at the seats? Would that even work?

2. After arrival at Sanford, which would be our best/cheapest method to get to WDW? hire a taxi? one day rental ( which im having a hard time finding info on). any recommendations on either?

I'll leave it at that for now lol. Thanks for all your help with this. like i said earlier, 5 out of 6 in our part are first time flyers, so we are on unknown territory. Have a magical day!

Regarding question #1, if you do not get seat assignments in advance, they will be assigned when you check-in. It's not open seating.

The first question is are you staying at a Disney hotel? If so they have a complementary transportation service called Disney magical express that will deliver you right to your hotel and bring you back to the airport at the end of your trip. Whoever assisted you with making your original reservation can at this on to your itinerary.

If you want to guarantee seating together then purchase the seats. We just figure that and baggage are part of our ticket.

We fly into Sanford this November. I have signed up for Budget Fastbreak (free) and will do a one day rental for arrival. Once we get to the resort and make our grocery run I'll take the car back to the Doubletree hotel at Downtown Disney hotels. They will shuttle me back to my resort OKW. On the return we'll do the opposite. Pick the car up at Doubletree and take it back to Sanford for the flight home. The Doubletree location code is M03. Check Mousesavers for Budget rental discount codes.

Good luck!!!

Not from Sanford airport. Only from Orlando Int'l for Magical Express?

My advice is to check out the TSA web site. It tells you all there is to know about how to get thru security screening at the airport. There are a lot of little things you need to know!

I would definitely pay for seating on the airplane if you want to sit together.

Seat assignments and priority boarding are two separate things -

I would definitely pay for seat assignments if you want to sit together, otherwise the computer will randomly assign your seats and you run the risk of being scattered all over the aircraft.

Priority boarding is just the ability to board the aircraft early, you will still have to sit in your assigned seats. This is of value if you have carryon bags that you will need to store in the overheads as that space fills up as more passengers enter the aircraft.

#2, You can hire a town car service just do a search for the companies that are authorized to serve Sanford and compare prices. You may be able to get a complimentary 30 minute grocery stop included in the price. From MCO they run $120 + tip - Sanford would obviously be more.

Car rental, if your comfortable making the drive a one way car rental with drop of at DTD or the Dolphin would be most convenient. Sometimes you can get a good enough deal that you may want to use the car during the trip!

A one day rental car would be the cheapest way to go to WDW.

When looking for a car type in Sanford airport or SFB in the city location of the Alamo rental web site. You will want to drop the car off at the Disney Car Care Center this is an onsite Alamo rental location. Its best to have one person drop the car off and have Alamo take that person back to the resort. Alamo will drop you off at the resort for free!

thank you to everyone for your kind replies and help. after a little research and discussion, we have decided that budget wise it will be better for us to drive down as originally planned. I was looking into flying as a possibility only because my mom and dad have lots of knee and joint issues and sitting, even though cramped, for an hr and a half vs 9 hrs would be better, we can just not justify the costs for our own personal budgets. thanks again for all your replies and help.
