We are staying at the BWI 9/25-9/30. We have 2 rooms booked. One will be for my family and Dniece and one for my Mom/Sis/Dnephews. Although we have requested connecting rooms I know there is no guarantee.

My family is arriving at noon and the rest of our group is arriving at 7am. How will checkin work since it is one reservation?

I know they will be able to wait in the CL if the room isn't ready so that isn't a problem. I'm wondering if they will need to check in the whole party even though half of us won't be there?

If the names on the reservations are correct they can check into one room and you can check into the other room when you arrive. The only time that is a problem is if the names on the reservation for your mom, sis and nephews room are not correct....then they won't let them check in.

We often travel with another family and I always make all of the reservations....it has never been a problem for rooms to check in seperately.
