You can call and book the "guaranteed connecting rooms" for a minor (under age 21 for Loews). Can you book multiple rooms with 1 APH?
(I have 1 room booked, but thinking that it may be worth booking a second room. However, my oldest is 20, so not sure I could put him officially as the lead in that room. I guess he and DH could swap key cards.)
Thank you for the info. I’ll have to think about whether we really need to book a second room. And yes, even with AP the rates are crazy. Same weekend in 2022, I paid under $400 / night rate at HRH Club level. For just under $400 in 2025, I can get a room at Sapphire Falls, no CL and no EP. HRH CL is more than $1000. Crazy!I booked five rooms back in March for an April 2026 stay, at AP rates, and was told I will need to provide the AP holder's name for each room when checking in. I am using a travel agent and that is what she was told.
And this is interesting: the average cost per night per room (club level) was $617 when I booked. Today, same room at AP rate for the same dates is $1,035. Sheesh....
Interesting, I’ve been asked for my pass, so maybe it depends how busy they are when checking in.YMMV but I've never been asked to provide proof at check-in. I am a passholder and I've had my friend book the room, check in, and have my preferred name (not the legal name Universal has on file) as the other guest. I never had to stop by the front desk to verify![]()
I've been asked to show my AP, too.Interesting, I’ve been asked for my pass, so maybe it depends how busy they are when checking in.![]()
The AP rates used to be *amazing,* but looking at the rates for the weekend we're going, they are only saving about $50-$60 per night. Since this is an HHN/Epic only trip, it doesn't look like the sub $165 savings will make it worth it for me to get an AP. I'm keeping an eye on the pricing since it's dynamic.I have had to show my AP multiple times as well.
But the APs are so worth it just for the room discount so totally worth upgrading for one.
Yeah - it does seem that way - but keep checking the rates. The AP rates used to be *amazing,* but looking at the rates for the weekend we're going, they are only saving about $50-$60 per night. For example, cost for 3 nights:
Helios AP rate: $3,047
Helios regular rate: $3216
Savings: $56 per night
Stella Nova AP rate: $647
Stella Nova regular rate: $812 (I booked when it was $711)
Savings: $55 per night
Similar savings for other deluxe/premier hotels
Unfortunately it is also a case of how early you can book now. Years ago the AP rates didn't come out until about 4 months ahead. I have a Thursday night at RPR in December that I booked back in December for $318, now it is listed as $518 (and it claims the rack rate is $777!)The AP rates used to be *amazing,* but looking at the rates for the weekend we're going, they are only saving about $50-$60 per night. This is so true. Looking back at my AP reservations previous years, I always made them within 4 months (sometimes rates would drop literally the week before!), but they are doing even more dynamic pricing now.Unfortunately it is also a case of how early you can book now.
