Ok...question. I've got 2 ressies for National for same times.

One is using the Carlson code for a full size from Emerald Reserve -- pretty good rate.

Second is using Emerald Club code for Emerald Aisle --- hoping for something bigger than full size. This rate is about $40 more than first ressie.

When we get there....and see our choices....we will pick which car & which ressie. (4 adults. Advising everyone to pack lighter than usual -- but expecting 3 large suitcases & 3 carryons plus another back pack here or there.)

My question is: Do I or will I be charged for the ressie I don't use.....since I'll have no way of cancelling it till I know what I'm taking. Also, want to make sure we have no problems with Carlson code before I even think of cancelling 2nd ressie.

Still with me? LOL

they can charge you 50.00 for a no show. They have your credit card on file.

I have not seen that on any of the reservations I have had.

On the National website under "no show" it advises a rental fee may be charged:

No-show

National Car Rental may charge a fee for vehicles that are reserved but not rented, if the reservation is not canceled 24 hours prior to anticipated arrival.
No-show fees will be billed to the credit card given at the time of reservation.

I did find it now, Donna, under FAQ's. You would think they would have that on each confirm. Thanks.

I had look too Dan...but didn't see anything.

I've decided which ressie will be better....and I've cancelled the extra. Here's keeping fingers crossed no problem with Carlson code.

I agree, what if someone doesn't bother to use the computer. You'd think they'd protect themselves by putting it on each reservation; maybe on mail confirms, it is.
i am also using that Carlson code - more fingers crossed here!:wave2:
I had two other reservations made and just cancelled the other two higher ones today before i forgot.

Here is disclosure on email confirm, same as the one that pops up when it is made.........

You would think that, but, they don't, nor do they list a whole bunch of other stuff.
If you make your reservations on the net, then I guess you should be looking at the FAQ's. If you make them elsewhere, then I guess you would have to ask.

Alternatively, you can keep both reservations and once you arrive at the lot in orlando and decide what you are going to do, use your cell phone to cancel the one you are not using before you drive out. Ive done that before, it works.
