multi-room suites in norfolk

I need help finding a hotel in or near downtown Norfolk, VA that has multi-room suites (like a 2-bedroom suite with a sofabed). When I go to various hotel websites, I only see rooms that sleep up to 5 people. I know that upscale hotels have things like Presidential Suites with different room configurations, I just can't seem to find them on any website. I don't want to have to call them all (heck, that's what the web is for, right?) Any help? I'm trying to jam about 6-8 people in a suite before a cruise. Thanks

You really should call, and don't limit yourself to only Norfolk. Va Beach, with all of those ocean front rooms is only about 30 minutes away, and may have more of what you are looking for.

Some of the hotels in Downtown Norfolk include, the Marriott, Courtyard Marriott (new), the Sheratan Waterside.

Down at the beach, you will find everything from Hiltons to Holiday Inns.

Thanks eeyore. I guess I was limiting myself (thinking that i was going to walk to the pier). But I forgot that I am driving there and will park at the parking area so i guess I can stay in Va Beach area.

Hampton also has some hotels that might have suites as well and you won't pay the price you would for downtown Norfolk and Va. Beach. Also think about Portsmouth and Chesapeake and even Suffolk. Not bad drives to Norfolk if you are thinking of doing things in that area.

Is there a time you are going that you are looking more for? If you check the Marriott site something might pop up for a Residence Inn or Marriott Suites. I haven't done a search for that but it also depends on when you are going. If you search for the Norfolk Visitors and Convention Bureau there might be some suggestions there or at least a phone number that you can talk to someone that would be able to help you.
