Muffins muffins everywhere... YUCK!

I guess I'm in the minority here. I LOVE low-rise jeans! I find high-waisted jeans ugly and think they make your tummy look even bigger.

:thumbsup2 I'm not talking about those ultra low rise things that you can't bend over in, though - I can't handle them so low! And you have to wear the right top with them - not all tops work with low-rise jeans. I just find the slightly low waisted jeans so much more comfortable than jeans that button at the waist.

As for sleeveless shirts - you know, I used to not wear them because I didn't think my arms were skinny enough. But one day, maybe in my mid-30s or so, I decided that I just didn't care anymore, and I was going to wear what I liked. So now I wear a lot of sleeveless. It does depend on the style, though - I generally avoid spaghetti straps because I feel like I carry too much weight around my shoulders and upper arms for it to be flattering. But there are plenty of sleeveless styles that don't accentuate the upper arms that much - at least, not enough to look really bad.

I never leave the house without some sort of foundation garment on, unless I'm going to the gym. Clean lines just look SO much nicer!

You're kidding me! No way would I suffer through that torture just for looks! Besides, I live in a hot climate, and that stuff would just make me sweat!

Yeah I don't get the whole super skin tight thing. I don't want to look like I am wearing a sausage casing.:confused3 It stinks though that it is so hard to find a t-shirt that has normal sleeves, is not "fitted", is thicker than a pair of pantyhose, and doesn't stretch like you are wearing actual pantyhose on your top!

God Bless if you are confident enough to go out of the house like that then more power to you. I personally could never even leave a dressing room dressed like that.

I also agree that low rise don't flatter anyone. I dont' care if you are a size 0 and weigh 90 lbs...they still don't look good!!

Really??? You don't think they look good on ANYONE??

I do.

Gosh I will never give up my Mom jeans (Lee). My comfort makes up for any mocking! And since i also wear them with Birkenstocks....it is really a moot point :)

Have to admit I didn't read the whole thread, only the first post, but I think women are now taking their cues from the men in their life. What man, who is overweight, actually wears his pants where they should be? Aren't men's pants always "underneath" their belly? You know, belly flopping out of front, but pants way up the middle of their back? My DH and I were having a conversation about this one day and he tried to tell me he's still wearing the same size he was years ago! :rotfl: I said, sure you are, except now your belly isn't in your pants. Trying tucking it in and see what size you wear! :lmao:

I used to wear tight "hip-huggers" but kind of baggy, cotton shirts were popular too back then. Now everything is stretchy and shows everything. I personally wish that the loser shirts would come back, for comfort if nothing else.

Don't knock it before you try it!!!

Not a fan of the Spanx. They make me look like a tube of pop in fresh biscuits. You know the kind that when you press on it they pop open? They make you smooth but then I look like a tightly packed tube o' chub!:rotfl:

ITA!!!!

I HATE HATE HATE low rise pants and wish they would go out of style forever! They do not look good on ANYONE, do you hear me skinny folk?? They don't even look good on you, much less on bigger gals!

They give EVERYONE a muffin top even if you are a size two!

I HATE THEM!!!!

I am a size 4/6 (depending on the make) and I would absolutely never, ever wear them. NEVER. They make me feel really self conscious and kinda bloated and gross. *shudder*

Super low jeans...I had a cashier at the Gap once that was wearing them. She had a five o'clock shadow. In the front. Read between the lines...:rotfl2:

I think young women wear things they shouldn't because they want to look the way they see women on TV and magazines look. They convince themselves that the look good, even though they don't. Many actually think that the more flesh they show, the sexier they look. Wrong!

I am a big girl- and before I leave the house I always check for unsitely bulges. But DH's family all have muffin tops- because they all wear skin tight pants- hence not only muffin tops but camel toes too. Ugggghhhhh!! It's nasty!:rotfl2:
:lmao:

"Sometimes" I find it kinda sexy. :rotfl: :thumbsup2
:scared1:
Geeze, the girls with the chub are the ones who do it the most! I have a former friend in my 1st period, the things she wears! :scared1:
She must be about 5'5 and 200+ pounds, yet she wears the super tight shirts and pants that you can see the rolls under her shirt, and she thinks she looks "sexy". It's like a massive beer belly, except there are rolls.
:rotfl2:

I heart my Birks!! and I have a pair of mom jeans

OMG!! Too funny!!

I don't notice what people are wearing as much as how they are acting towards others... if they are nice people wearing crazy clothes I wouldn't spend too much time thinking about the clothes as much as the person in them... sorry their just clothes in my opinion! Just my two cents!
