HI Gang.........I know I haven't started my program yet (because we are still not in the new house but it looks like next wednesday I will be) but tomorrow is a black tie dinner for my boyfriends work and I bought a new dress. Then I remembered about the $300 dress I bought for my brother's wedding in November 2001 and that was when I was I guess I started to really gain the weight. Well, IT DOESN'T FIT......... which means that I am even fatter than I was then..........I am so depressed I could scream......I have never had to lose weight before and after the mono and all the illness and the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and IBS I don't know that I can do this............and I want to so badly......I am so tired all the time being sick and I am such a picky eater that i don't know that I can do it.........I want to be determined and I was until today but now I feel lousy.........Just wanted to vent my frustration to you guys because I know you will understand.......Thanks again, Have A Disney Day.:smooth:

You can do it PrincessMo.....even if you have set backs just remember to take them instride...DON"T BEAT YOURSELF UP....

I have a smaller number of lbs to lose...total goal was 30lbs...and after 10 weeks I've only lost 10....because my life is so high stress...I've decided to get up each day and try and what ever I do that was great....I'm trying to stick to sort of an Atkins plan...I feel soooooo much better without the white flour and sugar in my system...

anyhow...my goal this week was to start and exercise...I've manged to do Pilates 3 days for 20 mins....

So, good luck and remember we LOVE YOU:D :D :D :D :D

I had IBS symptoms that were very depilitating to me. I had to be within a couple minutes of a bathroom at all times --- because I never new when the urge would hit. It was HORRIBLE! I started eating low carb to lose weight but I was pleasantly surprised that another effect was regulating my IBS symptoms. I now feel like a whole person again that is able to enjoy what life has to offer! Sometimes I now have the opposite effect [constipation] and I never in my wildest dreams thought that I would be having that problem!;)

When you are ready --- pick a plan that will work for your lifestyle! You can do this! And in the meantime -- here is a hug to get you thru the day!:D

Funny, but they just tested me for mono yesterday. I can only echo the others, by eliminating the white flour and sugar from my regular eating, and really focusing on lean protein, veggies and fruit I feel so much better than I ever have before. I have more energy, my hormones are more balanced... Now if only my kidneys, ovary and spleen were okay... But we're working on that!

Sending you some pixie dust *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ and lots of hugs {{{{{{{{{{}}}}}}}}}}.

As others have said, just take thing slowly--maybe work on eating better one week, add a small amount of exercise another. Just remember that it took more than 1 day to get where you are, it will take more than 1 day to get where you want to be.

HUGS!

Just take things a little bit at a time and do not feel overwhelmed. First start a program and do your best. It is all you can ask of yourself. Put in all the effort you can, but don't beat yourself over any little set back, they are bound to happen, because we are only human. You have a few obstacles to overcome health wise. I will tell you I struggle with my health which in affect affects my emotional well being, and makes me take a slider at times. So far I have not turned to food. Another thing that has helped me is exercise. I know it is hard to believe, but once I am at the Y, I want to do the stuff. It is getting there, that kills me. I have a condition that cause some bad arthritis. My knees, elbows and hands are a mess. SInce I have started low impact aerobices (WATP), walking and weights, I have felt a ton better. I may not always make it everyother day, but I am making it atleast 3 days a week.

I know you can do it. YOu can succeed :)

Sorry about your stress. Keep posting & keep faith. Like other posters said, do it slowly. I started with just upping the amount of water I drink. I then, took the time to research the popular diets & look into other diets. I used the internet for all of my information.

Maybe for you, right now just make your portions of your favorite foods smaller, drink lots of H20 (trust me, it's not my favorite drink either but I feel so much better now that I am drinking it) & put some movement into your life for a little excersize.

**~~***~~*** PD & {{hugs}} we are here to support each other, use these boards!

Everyone has given you great ideas here princess. Don't have any more to add, except to agree wholeheartedly with glo about WATPs. I have health issues a mile long, but can do these. Also learn to love water. May I ask if you've checked with your doctor first for his/her approval? If not, that might be the best place to start.

Take care and feel better soon!
Lois

You can quit even before you start!!! That's just not allowed!

There's nothing you can do about the dress not fitting right now but with a life stye change and all the support that all your WISH buddies can throw your way, you'll be on the right track in no time. The first step is the hardest and you've already decided to take that step to work at losing the weight. We're all here for you.

Take the first step and never look back!!

Hey Princess... I SO understand what you are saying. I am also suffering from chronic illness, and sick of feeling sick. I'm also a very very picky eater. It just adds to the frusteration. Lately I've been trying to convince myself just how high maintenance it is dragging all of this *me* around... and how tiring it is being a picky eater. So.. I've been trying to reprogram myself. I know that this plan won't cure all of my ills.. but it sure can't hurt them either. Being sick is burden enough. I want to be the healthiest me that I can be. You are on your way. Take a deep breath and move that one step. Cuz that one step is one step closer to where you want to be.. and that can only be good.

:)

It sounds as though you have some barriers to this weight loss thing, and I am sorry to hear about them, but they are not insurmountable. You can do this! Think just how great you will look in that $300 dress!!

Hang in there! Just take things day by day! You know you have the power to fit back into that dress and to wear ANY clothes you want to wear! Unfortunately, it doesn't happen over night, but I think there is a good reason for that. Through this weight loss journey you will find a strength you never knew you had. You will begin to see yourself differently and over time you will build a tremendous amount of confidence in yourself. Be gentle, be kind, be forgiving and keep telling yourself that you can do it, because I know you can!!!!!
