Just watched the get together/awards show for the Real World. I can't believe they are going on season #20. I haven't watched the last couple of seasons but loved it way back when. Some cast members look really old, like Nathan from Seattle, while others look exactly the same. On a good note, Puck seems to have grown up finally.

The Austin cast seems to still be the closest, I know they dated each other and Danny and Melinda are getting married. I did not watch that season so...why was Danny in the hospital and who was he talking too crying on the phone?

What was your favorite season?

I saw the Awards show too!

My fave seasons were LA, San Diego and Chicago. I think. I didn't watch every season and it's more of the more recent ones that I haven't seen but an episode here or there.

I can't believe Johnny Bananas was voted Hottest Male! Gag!

I didn't really watch the Austin season, so I don't know the answer to your question.

But when I first saw the commercials for the awards bash and they said "all 19 seasons" I was like WOAH, there have been 19??? Wow! And then proceeded to attempt to name all 19 seasons. I got 18 of them. I forgot Philly.

The scary part of that is that I remember watching New York, LA, Miami and Boston....yeah, I'm that old. I haven't watched it for years...I guess I finally got to the point where I couldn't relate anymore. I liked the old Road Rules too.

Danny was in the hospital b/c he got sucker punched in the eye. It was really bad- he had to have surgery.

His mom died while he was on the show...that's what the phone call was about.

I think I've seen every single season.... the worst two were Boston and London- both were snooze fests IMO. My favorites....Hawaii, Las Vegas, L.A., and New Orleans.

I think that the original seasons were the best...I loved the show until New Orleans and Back to NY, but after that, they all got really boring. The show was so much better back when they picked houseguests who were a little older and who were actually struggling to find jobs and make their way in the world. Now it's a bunch of 19 year olds who get drunk and hook up all the time.

I watched Austin, but I can't remember why he was in the hospital...I think he got into a fight or something and cracked his skull? He was crying on the phone to his dad (?) when he found out his mom had passed away.

I remember that I actually watched the ep where Danny was on the phone and found out his mom had passed away.

I forgot about Hawaii! I loved that season too.

Oh - I was so going to post the same thing. How come I don't feel as old as I am?

Well I've been watching since New York. I didn't watch much of this last season though. I was wondering if they would put them out on DVD, I'd probably buy them :rotfl:

NY Season 1, I was the same age as the youngest person in the house (Julie, 19)
Now I'm quickly approaching the age of the youngest person in the house's mother. :sad2:

I know that they sold the first 4 seasons (NY, LA, San Fran, London) into syndication...so they likely won't ever be released on DVD, and you also won't ever see them on MTV again...which is a shame, because those were some of the best ones! I did love Boston and Hawaii too, and New Orleans. I think San Francisco was the best though.

I can't believe the shows have been around that long! I used to love it! I think my favorite seasons where Boston, Hawaii, L.A...I lost interest for a couple of seasons, but started watching again during the Austin season.

I stopped watching during the Miami season. I liked the original four because at least then most of the housemates had jobs or were looking for them.

Glad I'm not the only one who liked the first couple of seasons the best. It was reality TV before reality TV!

Remember Eric from season 1...he was hot back then. He was on the awards show with long hair and everyone kept calling him Jesus. Syrus from Boston freaked out when he saw him. I'll try and post a pic from the MTV site.

I hope MTV is still into playing things over and over, because I totally forgot to watch! :headache: Actually, I think Austin was my favorite season. I've watched San Diego, New Orleans, and Hawaii. Right after Austin was Key West, and I watched one episode and was bored. I didn't watch some of the earlier seasons because I was still in high school living at home, and we didn't even have cable!

I think Miami was my favorite, I was hoping Flora would have been at the Reunion show!

Okay, had to weigh in here... I watched all the "oldie" seasons religiously, probably up to London (which was such as snoozefest I think that's why I stopped watching). I loved NY, LA, and San Fran. I sobbed and sobbed when I heard Pedro had died... hated Puck... loved when I heard Pam and Judd got married.

I am a Real World junkie also. San Diego was definitely my favorite cast. FREE BRAD! I loved those guys....

It was neat to see the awards show and where everyone is now. I agree that Nathan from Seattle looked OLD, as did some of the others.

I didnt watch much of Denver and Sydney, although I am looking forward to seeing what Hollywood is like. I think the show is getting to be very predictable which is sad. In the first episode of a new season, you are pretty much guaranteed to have a cast hook up, a fight between cast and others at a bar, and a trip to jail for someone. As a result of the predictability, I have started to watch the challenges instead....

Anyone know if you can buy DVD's of past seasons? I would like to have a copy of San Diego....

Given how whacked the show and characters have gotten, I wouldn't be surprised if the first three seasons seemed like snoozefests! :lmao:

I also grew up with the shows since the first NY. I actually liked the London one :rotfl: Also liked SF, Miami, Seattle, Boston, & the 2nd New York. I think the last season I really liked and followed was the Las Vegas one. That was a great cast. lol

Were there any updates on SF Rachel and Boston Sean (I think that's his name)? Are they still living in his hometown with their kids?
