We get a MTTMM with our Disney Vacation Package :cool1: and now we're trying to figure out which day to use it. Here is our situation:

1st day in park--Monday, 3/16--Park opens at 8 AM (so would MTTMM for us!)

OR

3rd day in park--Wednesday, 3/18--Park opens at 9 AM (so would MTTMM for us)

any ideas as to which day would be better, for crowd purposes, specficially?

I'm guessing Weds. would be the better day....? :confused3

We're tentatively planning to do MTTMM on Weds. and actually spend our 1st day Mon. 3/16 at DCA (which doesn't open till 10 AM, so we can actually sneak into DL around 9 AM, get Daddy's b-day fun card activated and maybe grab a Autopia or BLAB FP before we head over to DCA to line up for the 10 AM rope drop!) :thumbsup2

I'd love to know your thoughts/ideas/input/advice! :-)

TIA!! :flower3:

Either day should be fine. MTTMM really doesn't get that many crowds. Just curious though why you won't be there at 8 on your first day. MTTMM would be a great start to the trip, especially with the kids who want to see Mickey and the characters.

The odds are really in your favor with MTTMM. The only people who have tix are those who book packages thru travel companies/internet travel companies. So you eliminate those who "design their own" trips, as well as all the AP holders and locals. We did our MTTMM last year on a Friday, and though the parks were pretty busy that morning (at least, the lines were longer than we had seen them so far on our week long trip), our TT experience was great!
Here are my 2 cents: Try to be in line at TT early - you will notice as you get thru the gates and start walking the park, you will be alone after you pass FL, and it may cause you to think you should run somewhere and grab FP's for something...which isn't a badidea, however, we made a beeline for the lineup for MTTMM, which meant that we were one of the first 15 people into TT. All the characters were there waiting, and we managed to greet everyone and get pics and autographs before the show actually started. Which meant we didn't feel it necessary to wait in the huge lines to see the characters after the 'show' - we just had fun!

Have a great time!

DLR29--I'm debating whether or not to do MTTMM on our 1st day too! The only thoughts as to why we should put it off until Weds (rather than Monday) are:
1) We want to start at least ONE day at DCA for rope drop, so thinking we could make our DCA day on Monday (not open till 10 AM) but still squeez in a quick entrance to DL to get Daddy's b-day fun card activated and grab a FP before we head over to DCA
2) DL opens at 8 AM on Monday, but not till 9 AM the other 3 days...so going on Weds. (9 AM open) would allow us a more leisurely morning...if we go on Mon (8 AM open) it would cause a bit more of a rush...we don't want to burn out totally by day 4 in the parks (actually day 5 of our trip...Sun-Day 1 will be early AM travel day, etc...)

Mommyof2boys1girl--thanks SO much for your 2 cents! The plan is for me to run and grab a FP on our way back to MTTMM while DH heads straight back to get in line...hopefully I can run fast enough to get the FP and still catch up to them at the TT gate/entrance! :-) Thanks for the input!

JulieZ - must share DH experience from our last trip. Is this your first time to DL? If so, make your dh study the map if you plan to separate! On our MM, I sent Dh to get in line at PP while I grabbed FP's to use later for Buzz. Even though it was our 3rd day at the parks, and I didn't think I could be more clear than showing him on the map, then standing at rope drop, pointing to the castle and saying "go straight through there and it is the first ride on your right", but he still somehow managed to get LOST!! He's never gonna live that one down!:rotfl:
So beware of letting your Dh "off the leash" - if he's like my dh, he could end up in the line up for POTC!:lmao:

LOL!!! That's too funny!

Actually, we were just there in October and DH grew up less than an hour from DL...so he went there a LOT as a kid...so thankfully, he knows the park way better than I do! :-)

So that means hopefully I won't be the one getting lost running around for FP's! :rotfl:

(I would send him but I think I could actually do to the run without passing out by the time I get back to TT! :lmao: :rolleyes1 )
