June 4, 2002

Woke up @ 6:30 am (couldn't sleep due to the rushing waters of the VV waterfall) and supervised everyone getting ready and having a quick bite to eat. Bags were packed and we were off to the Magic Kingdom at about 9:30 am.

We had a nice ride (less than 15 minutes) to the MK parking lot. When we reached the TTC, it was CROWDED! We opted to take the ferry over. We did the security thing and finally we entered the park. We opted not to rent a stroller (ds was not having it) so we headed towards Fantasyland. First, of course, we took the family photo with the castle in the background (we all had on matching t-shirts). I guess that this will become a tradition with us.

As this trip was two weeks ago, I don't remember all of the details regarding what order we rode what ride in, but I will say that we rode the following:

Snow White, Winnie the Pooh (fastpass--:Pinkbounc ), Tomorrowland Speedway (dd and ds's idea), Buzz Lightyear (fastpass--:Pinkbounc ), Tomorrowland Transit Authority, The Tea Cups, Barnstormer (ds had a natural fit on this ride), Dumbo, and the railroad.

It was hot that day, but we all managed to keep cool by stopping for popsicles/icecream (had my very first Mickey Bar) and water regularly. We also got a seat down front at Cosmic Ray's for lunch. I couldn't believe how crowded that place was.

Anyway, we were all getting a little tired so we headed to the Exposition Hall to pick up our photo and we were just in time for the afternoon parade. I begged dh to stay for it (we ended up with a good spot across from the Exposition Hall. It was beautiful and I took plenty of pictures.

Once the parade was over, we hopped on the monorail and headed for "home." We rested, got cleaned up and dressed and headed to MGM Studios. We figured that we had 45 minutes to kill before we had to line up for Fantasmic, so we rode Star Tours. Everyone loved it except for ds. Time was getting on, so we headed towards the Fantasmic entrance. We followed the crowd and ended up at the Fantasmic Dinner Package entrance. Ooops!! I asked the castmember where I needed to go and he told me that it was standing room only. That's when this very nice gentleman walked up to us and said that he had extra passes and that we were welcome to use them. I thanked him over and over and over! What luck!!! We got to sit in the FDP section--which were pretty good seats. The show was great! We had a great time. And to the nice gentleman who did this for us--thank you once again!!

We went back "home" and put the kids to bed. That was a great day.

Tomorrow we hit Epcot!

What a nice gentlemen - a nice day for all - thanks for posting!

we did that Pkg in April and it is a lifesaver....kids are very happy in this area too....thanks so much for your trip report...it is great....

Wow...busy day. At least things went smoothly. I know that soemtimes Disney lines can be confusing. Last summer, my boyfriend and I went to ride Star Tours. We ended up in the fastpass line with no fastpasses. However the CM was kind enough to let us through. I think it was because it was early in the morning and the lines were not too long!
