MSEP - Back for a Short Time this Summer!

It starts the last night we are there. So excited we love the MSEP. It will be a great way to finish off our trip, can't wait to tell the hubby.

Apparently they’re going to shut down Soundsational for this, boo.

Where do you see this? I still see Soundsational on the daily event calendar as far out as it goes until August 9th.

But I suppose is it too hard to have a day parade and a night one?

I would prefer a night parade over a day one, but don't know why they can't do both. WDW did it for years.

I love the MSEP but I was also super stoked to see the Soundsational one and had it all worked into our game plan, ha!

Does anyone remember what time the night parades usually happen at?

I'm going to miss it by 2 weeks or so....but, I'm happy for those who will get to see it again. I cry every time. Since the early, early days of MSEP. Enjoy, Everyone! It's surely a gem!

I fine with Disney bringing the parade back as long as they don't bill it as the final farewell. I dealt with those emotions back in 1996 and again in 2017. Enough already.

So, no parade at all between July 17 and August 2? At either park? That's unfortunate.

In the evenings, DL already had Sound performing at 6, and has Fantasmic! twice and fireworks. DCA has one showing of WOC. Seems weird.

I went last summer (haven't been in a while) and really missed Soundsational Parade.
I was ecstatic when they brought it back!

Then the news today I was super stoked since I'm going at the last week of September, and i've never got to experience MSEP which everyone raves about.
But it's bittersweet now that they're pausing Soundsational for it.
Why can't we have a daytime parade, a nighttime parade, fireworks AND Fantasmic! ? :'(

I am hoping the Halloween parties do not sell very well and they hold the parade over until the beginning of November.

Ugh! I know that I’m in the minority but Im soooo bummed that they are doing MSEP instead of PTN especially and even the day parade Soundsational. Even Mickeys Mix Magic would have been more interesting to see than a parade we have seen 4 or so times. AND YES we will still have fun, likely watch the parade even and it wont ruin our trip, im just joining in the conversation with a different perspective.

We’re first time DLR visitors in August and would prefer a new experience to these retread experiences (will the run of soarin over CA be done by the 25th?)

PTN sounds like hands down the best parade Disney has ever done (so bummed we wont get to experience it.... yet ) and we find MSEP to be meh - like an old worn out cheap electrical music box with christmas lights that dont work great. That impression comes from our most magical parade experiences with young children being Spectromagic at WDW when our kids were little enough to be in awe and us all loving the more epic disney music and storytelling of that parade to the cheesier electrical beats of the MSEP that replaced our more nostalgic parade.

PTN would be a better crowd draw for DCA away from GE would it not? Or cant they run it with the DCA construction? We are also hoping to see Soarin over the world (from the center only!) as we haven’t caught that version yet - will that be back or will it still be over California after August 26th? or dont we know?

Well, fiddle dee dee! I'm contemplating a 1 day solo visit to check out SWL, but it'll be the 1st week of Oct.

I remember MSEP from the 70s and made a special trip to see it when it was back in '17. But I'd have loved to see it again.

There likely won’t be a parade between the end of MSEP and the start of Xmas season.

I believe Soarin Over California runs through 8/31.
