MSEP and Wishes FP+ ?

My FP+ date is coming up this week and I am so nervous about making sure I get the best choices for my little girl!

Months ago, when I was trying to plan this trip, I had decided to get the FP+ for MSEP and then just try to spread out a blanket on the curb or somehow stake out our spot and stay there for Wishes. This was when the FP+ spot for MSEP was in front of the castle. I knew it wouldn't be the PERFECT spot for Wishes but really I'm more concerned about being able to experience both things without getting trampled and/or having to wait forever to secure a spot. We have an almost three year old who makes either of those options pretty undesirable. I know the whole concern about booking a late night FP+ and tying up your ability to book extra FP+ so I had scheduled this for a day that we were only going to be in the MK for the evening.

Anyway, from what I can understand, since they have moved the area for the FP+ viewing for MSEP, this is no longer a very viable plan. Is that the case? Is the parade viewing area really no good for Wishes? I remember there being a super helpful map that showed the old MSEP spot but not the new one. If not, is it possible to get from the MSEP viewing area to the Wishes area if I book them for the same night? Again, I know I could do them separate nights but I hate lose the chance for extra FP+s more than one night. Plus, I'm trying to limit our late night activities because of the age of my toddler.

I can't decide what to do! Any advice from you experts?

I'm going to need a vacation to recover from the stress of planning this vacation!

It depends where you are by the flag pole. If you get to the FP viewing area early enough you can position yourself to have a clear view of the castle. You really won't be able to see the projected show up on the castle though.
What we did is as soon as we saw the end of the parade we got behind it and followed it up to the hub. It was really easy with both my husband and I armed with a stroller and we got a perfect view of the show on the castle (celebrate the Magic I think it's called). And the fireworks. It was crowded for the fireworks, oh my goodness! If you could get a fp+ for the firworks this strategy would help you easily get there with plenty of time.

Thanks for the insight!

And, oh yeah, that reminds me. We will have a stroller with us (and a princess dress, and a big backpack, and all the other various junk a toddler travels with) so that might affect how easily we can push through the crowds between the two spots. If that affects anybody's opinion.

If you hop behind the parade you really won't be fighting a crowd. You will just be walking towards the hub with some other people. Once you get to the wishes for+ viewing area I have no idea about the people you would have to push through.
Have fun!!
