MSEP after park closing?

Some of us in the May check-in thread have noticed DL park hours being, for example, 9am-10pm. MSEP is still listed as two showings: 8:30, and 10:15-10:30.

Does anyone have experience with this happening? It's not a mistake on the schedule? How were the crowds? How did it work with the rest of the park?

I've done this at DCA with WOC, but feel like I haven't seen this with anything at DL. I understand park hours are long right now for spring breaks, and I didn't pay attention to park hours prior. I feel like it would end up making the later parade busier than the earlier one! I know I would want to plan on it to extended my last night just a liiiiiittle longer.

TIA!

Main St stays open an hour after the posted park closing time for shopping. When the parade was in CA, before WOC, that was how they did it most nights. It was scheduled 30 min after park closing, and then the CMs pushed everyone out and all rides and shops except for a few at the front of the park were closed.

When the parade is going after park closing it means that you can't get into any ride lines, some shops may be closed further back in the parks as well as some food kiosks, but the parade will go on at the scheduled time and you will be allowed to stay on the parade route for it. I do find it makes the last parade busier when it happens because there isn't anything else to do if except watch the parade if you want to stick around.

but the parade will go on at the scheduled time and you will be allowed to stay on the parade route for it.

So, you dont HAVE to watch it from Main street since that is usually the only place still open after closing? They allow you to stay all the way back at IASW?

You should be able to stay all the way back at IASW but can't guarantee of course.
