Hello, everyone! My husband and I are going to be at DLR on the day that the limited edition MSEP 45th anniversary pin will be released; however, it would work best for our schedule if that day was our Magic Morning day. Since this occurrence will be a first for us, I have a few questions. First, where are the limited edition pins sold? I'm sure Pin Traders will have all of the pins, but we would like to stay inside DL if possible so we don't lose too much time in the park. Second, how early will we need to line up to be guaranteed a pin?

Thanks in advance!

I'm hardly an expert, but most special pins are at Westward Ho (Frontierland) and Little Green Men (Tomorrowland).

I've seen limited editions pins consistently available at four shops in DL: 20th Century Music (Main Street), the Emporium (Main Street), Westward Ho (Frontierland) and Little Green Men (Tomorrowland). They're usually in a glass case near the counter and you have ask for them at the register. If it's a "big" release, they may only be available at Little Green Men, but I don't think the 45th MSEP pin is one of those releases. I usually stop at 20th Century Music (it's the shop connected to the Magic Shop on the right side of Main Street) first and if they don't have it, then I head over to Little Green Men.

Pin Trader's in DTD gets the biggest stock of pins, they set up a line before they open and people line up, I've been there for a couple pin releases that I wanted to make sure not to miss.

That being said the normal pin stores in the parks will have LE pins like figment mentioned, I'm not sure if they will have them AT OPENING like Pin's Traders does. I don't really know how it works at those store. But the couple times I wanted them right at opening I was directed to Pin Trader's by a CM at guest relations.

I'm rarely there at opening, but by the time I get there (usually within an hour), most of the shops seem to have the pins that were released that day. Now, that being said, I haven't really figured out why some pins have the more formal release like mentioned, with a line set-up outside the shop and only at one shop in each park (usually Little Green Men Store Command in DL, Julius Katz and Sons in DCA, and Pin Traders in DTD) and others are released more widely. The best I can tell is it depends on how popular they think it'll be and large/small the edition size is.
