I spoke to Ms. Sundee while there last week while at Disney. She has asked me to inform people that she will no longer be doing the sing a long at all. She has been a part of the dream squad for some time but still did the show at the Fort on Wed and Sat night. The long days have caught up with her and it is no longer to be. I know a lot of people have made her a part of their Disney experience and she will be missed by many. She may fill in from time to time if needed and if you catch her, you are one of the lucky ones. However, with that said, the campground is now a part of her and I am sure there will be many Ms. Sundee sightings through out the summer (check the 1600 or 1700 loop during June, July and Aug :rolleyes1 ) She has become a dear friend to our family and has promised to visit, with guitar in hand. :cheer2:

Oh wow, I'm truly sorry to hear this! She was such an integral part of the sing a longs, but it's nice to hear that she'll still be making some rounds!

Cheers to you Ms. Sundee!!!

She will be missed terribly!! My kids only go to the campfire for the sing along.. we always leave before the movie! And of course she was the best!!!

We were there last week and heard the news as well. We completely understand her situation and support her decision. That said, we will sure miss her at the campfires. She has also become a dear friend as well and we look forward to visiting her whenever we can.

When we were there at Christmas she was running herself ragged going back and forth. I wondered how long she would be able to keep it up.
I am sure if the right people ask nicely she will show up from time to time, she is after all a people person and I cant see her being able to go cold turkey from the campground.
I may have to lure her over next trip with some pork chops on the grill :thumbsup2

Wow! I juct consider us lucky for having seen her all these years! :cool1:

Thank you Ms. Sundee. YOU were the C&D Campfire and sing-a-long for many of us...:guilty:

Whenever we go to the Sing-a-long we'll be thinking of Ms. Sundee. Thanks for many terrific memories!

I met Sundee last year when we we're there in August. She was doing the bingo and she kept calling this one guy mister hottie and saying if he won she was gonna kiss him and he was blushing so bad. His wife or g/f was loving it. Once she called a lot of numbers she would ask him how many more he needed and which one was it. It became the highlight that night and was very funny.

DD wanted the Disney Monopoly and once she won another kid had gotten it. We went back the next night and DD asked her if she had another Monopoly. She didn't, and she sent a girl off to get one. I think it was on game 2 DD won as did another kid and she jumped like a monkey and ran over and grabbed the game. Sundee walked over and just stared at her. DD was like what???? Sundee said do ya think you might bring the card over so we can check your bingo. The next night we saw her at the sing along and she kept saying there's my Monopoly girl. She explained to the whole crowd about how this little girl got this game. I know many on here have known her for years and have funny memories. I hope when we go in June we see her at AK. I hear she gives out Dream Passes.

During our last (and first) FW stay we experienced two campfire singers & I never caught either's name. One I would describe as someone who could be a really fun and sweet kindergarten teacher. The other was actually kind of gruff - the kids were a bit scared by the way she taunted people if they weren't singing along - my dh called her "every summer camper's nightmare" :-). Any ideas who we experienced?

when i was down in march we went to the campfire on wednesday the 21st hoping to meet ms sundee, sadly she wasnt working that night. we still had a great time. i have listened to countless stories over the years of this disney legend from my brother . so i feel as though i already know her. just would have been nice to meet her.
scott claims to be her favorite but most people that meet us end up thinking i am #1 did i say i was older than him???
best wishes and i hope to get to meet you some day.

Laws, I done heard it all now lmao. That is funny Steve. I'm glad we saw Sundee when we did and met the legend lol. She just has a way about her that you love. I wish her the best and hope her health improves.

Scott! How could you lie to your own brother?! :scared1: Everyone knows that I am her favorite Carter! Not to mention that I plan on feeding her more bologna/mustard sandwiches this summer. She has promised to show up with her guitar in hand. Maybe we can get our own "sing a long" at my campsite! It could get soooo big that they will have to block off the loop and we can set up food tables in the street and have our own bar to top it off!!! No, wait, that has already been done this year!:lmao:

first one is probably Julie (or rachel if she had a mandolin)
Second one is probably Sundee

LMAO!!

I got to meet Sundee last Dec. when I went to the cmapfire and LOVED her from the first moment I saw her. She was quite a character and after her sing a long she came by and had a quick chat...what a lovely person she is with a heart as big as Texas! I hope she is able to enjoy many more years of good health in whatever she does. She certainly seemed to enjoy the sing a longs!!!I'll hate to see her go. I was planning on taking my grandaughter to meet her this Oct. Hope they have someone good to take her place but it won't be the same:confused:

She sure seemed to like those pork chops I cooked on the grille, I am pretty handy with the charcoal ! If you recall back in 05 when we were going to come down for Christmas I had them lining up for a steak cookout, sort of a Pied Piper thing. Never underestimate the power of a full belly :thumbsup2

Be very wary of "big brother" he talks a good line but then sleeps in that big bed over at the resort, sort of a carpetbagger when it comes to the campground. :rotfl2:

I thought we had that whole "favorite Carter" thing worked out ????
IIRC we decided there was enough Ms Sundee to go around.
