MS couldn't book HH reservations yesterday but can today!!

Perfect!!!, I do everything the obsessed DVCer is supposed to do to secure a coveted vacation time....I speeddialed MS to make an 11 month reservation and was told the HH booking system was down. Maybe until tomorrow.

If anyone else gets through for an HH reservation please post.

Same thing for Vero Beach. I was told that there is an "inventory problem" for both VB and Hilton Head today.

No way they could take your preferred reservation and enter in it when the system is back up? Geesh, it would stink to have tried today only to lose your villa to someone tomorrow! You know, maybe they could have done a temporary waitlist type of thing in the order people called today!

Does HH sell out that quickly for Christmas at the 11 month mark? I was under the impression that it was a popular time, but not as popular as summer. Now, not sure if you were going for a GV or not, but I hope it does work out for you. I know how disappointed and worried I probably would have been had it happened to me.

Yes, I was going for a GV. So I thought it best to day by day for the such a holiday reservation. I called back today during lunch and got the same response..no bookings. Sounds like they would not be open for HH reservations later in the day. Under the circumstances, it would be fairest to wait one full day and open for reservations the following day...I guess. That way, an afternoon caller wouldn't end up with reservation preference. I'm going to try again tomorrow morning.

Usually in that situation they do suspend booking for the entire day.
