Mrytle Beach help! Dunes Village, Sea Watch?

We enjoy ultimate pizza kitchen. Several locations. Love the specials.

Thanks for the suggestions :) I see there is a wild wings cafe in North Myrtle beach....yum! Love the one is charleston!

Dino's is most famous for breakfast at NMB. Expect huge lines. Never ate there but heard it is great.

Yep, yummo!!! I also like the Golden Griddle at the Ocean Drive section of NMB. For burgers, check out River City Cafe as long as you don't have a peanut allergy (they hand out peanuts in the shell).

I stick mostly to North MB, so most of my fave eateries are there. I like to go to Calabash for seafood, Ella's or Seafood Hut. Beck's and Boundary House are supposed to be good, but Ella's and the Hut are cheaper, so we go there. Duffy Street (Cherry Grove or Ocean Drive) is pretty good, but expensive IMO. WE recently tried the Flounder's at Cherry Grove and did not like it at all. Captain Poo's and The Shack (Cherry Grove) are good. Poo's has a $6 lunch special M-F, and a $7 flounder lunch special on Fridays.

Sea Captains house is really good but it can me on the more expensive side not too bad though. Mexican would have to be Abuelos. I am from N.Y. and NJ I can not recommend pizza here. If you want pizza there is a restaurant across from Broadway at the beach called the Mellow Mushroom it has gourmet pizza. If you have never been is a lot of fun but get there early because they always have a line. Breakfast places are all over. There are so many pancake houses I couldn't even begin to pick one. I am drawing a blank right now I will post back when I think of something more helpful. Or you can pm if you have any questions. I wanted to get back to you so you didn't think I forgot.

Lol about the pizza. Being from NJ the first thing I do when we move someplace or vacation someplace is find out where the best NY style pizza place is. And it is funny how most of the locals never know where the good pizza is....like in Colorado Springs there was an amazing pizza place and many locals where I worked never tried it! I found a really good place in the Charleston SC area. I even found good pizza in south GA if you can imagine that! But it is always possible such pizza won't be found...could be the case in Myrtle....I looked online for a while reading reviews and does not sound promising...especially coming from a NY/NJ person as yourself. But will check out the Mellow Mushroom :)

We stayed at the Ocean Reef Resort a couple of years ago. It has standard room & other suites as well. Its right on the beach with beach front balcony views as well. We found it to be a friendly, clean & close to everything resort. The prices are not to bad neither to be directly on the beach. I think they are also offering a spring deal right now.

We stayed there twice- LOVE IT! I loved sitting on my balcony overlooking the ocean, the 2 outdoor pools just steps from the beach!

We called for pizza delivery one night in Myrtle Beach- it comes and we open the box and my daughter says "OMG what the heck is IT?" It tasted as nasty as it looked! Was like eating cardboard! We are so used to NY pizza that anything else doesn't compare. I learned to never eat Pizza in Canada either!

is there a target in myrtle beach? thought i could purchase some gift cards while i was there if there is.

Yes there is a a Target near Broadway at the Beach and a Toys R Us.

We were at the a Dunes a couple weekends ago and loved it.

The Harley rally isn't too bad in MB. The black biker rally at Memorial Day weekend I wouldn't wish on anyone. I only made that mistake once.

We live in SC and go to Myrtle Beach Nov-March. Our top two hotels are Captains Quarters and The Landmark. Both are older but clean with excellent service and full onsite enterainment for the kids. Captains Quarters is an easy walk to the amusement/waterpark which is I think $35 a day for unlimited access to both. Not sure on price. It doesnt open before May.
Food we like Captain Benjamins, some seafood house in Surfside with live mermaids tableside, Dodges Chicken, The Golden Omelet, and an Italian place whose name I cant remember- but its near Tanger across from The Giant Crab.
There is a Disney Store in Tanger. I buy Disney merchandise credits online cheap and shop in the store. The credits cannot be used for gift cards or tickets.
Also the two bike weeks never ever overlap. The first one isnt so bad. Just very very crowded and loud. The second one I wouldn't go near for a million dollars. A lot of businesses used to close for that one but were sued. The biggest difference between the two is not the obvious thing people point to. It's the age and economic status differences between the two groups. Buying a $50,000 Harley almost promises the buyer is well past their hell raising, drink til you are hospitalized stage of life.

what about Captain Georges? anyone been there. they have a good rating on tripadvisor. I just want to hit a sea food buffet, we don't have anything like that here.

I've eaten there too. It is a good one. I have a mermaid lover in my house. That's the only reason we go to the other one.
