After early breakfast we packed the car up and headed to Melbourne to visit some friends of ours. The friend is a :firefight with DH so they went off to visit the Melbourne firestation while us girlies and kids headed off to the beach. Woah what a beach, white sand, large waves, it was just so beautiful. We had lunch on the beach and enjoyed the sun :sunny:

After a bbq that evening we set off back to Orlando which took about an hour, we'd had a lovely day and it gave us the chance to recharge our batteries a little for the park days ahead!

Wednesday 26th April

Woah our 1st character meal!! Breakfast at Crystal Palace!! We had reservations for 8.25am, this was great as we got into MK really early with no one around. Main Street is so different when its empty, you really get chance to see it in its full glory. The Character breakfast was well worth the money, l'd certainly recommend it. We met Pooh, Tigger etc and the food was beautiful (defo try the Breakfast Lasagna) on the kids buffet, it sounds gross but woah its soooo tasty!! With full tummy's we head into the park, we rode Stitch (which i like), Buzz Lighteryear, Tomorrowland Speedway, Peter Pan's flight :confused3 , Haunted Mansion (found the wedding ring, hooray) and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. After watching the parade we left the park about 3.30ish for dinner at the Rainforest Cafe at DTD. We called at the local firestation near SSR and had a guided tour (its a fireman thing, believe me) and the kids went for a dip in the pool back at SSR. We headed back to MK later on to see Wishes at 10pm which was lovely :wizard:

Today was Epcot day (not my most favourite park)! We had the DS's 'Leave a legacy' pic taken just as the heavens opened and it poured down. Thankfully we totally missed getting wet lol We headed straight for Soarin and got a Fastpass, we rode Living with the Land and Circle of Life while waiting. Soarin was brillant, l'm not that keen on simulator rides but this was amazing. After a snack we went and got a Fastpass for Test Track (return in 4hrs  ) and headed off towards World Showcase. Its the Epcot Flower Show and the gardens were really pretty, more so than usual. Disney had also created a Butterfly house, which was great for the kids to see them so close up. When it was time we headed to Test Track, fab as usual and then rode Spaceship Earth at eldest DS's request :rolleyes2

Friday 29th April 2006

Had a bit of a lie-in this morning as we needed to catch up on some valuable sleep lol. Made a leisurely drive back to MK and enjoyed the park again. That evening was Extra Magic Hour in Epcot so we had dinner at DTD and then went onto Epcot, we watched the fireworks around the World Showcase and needed to Soarin again hoping the queues would be shorter! Oh no l think everyone had had the same idea lol, we only waited 30mins which isnt to bad and it was worth it :goodvibes

It sounds like you're having a great time and I'm glad your DS is feeling a lot better :)

Enjoying your trip reports so far, Rachel. Hope your son was feeling better by this point.
