I admit it, I read US Weekly, and I have to say that I thought this was very different, every guest at her bridal shower gave her a big gaudy brooch (think vintage costume jewelry), and they were made into her corsage. The only picture I can find online is at

I think it's really beautiful and different!

She also talked about picking out the materials for her bridesmaids dresses (they're all different, and look vintage), including cowboy boots to match!

What a nice, downhome, country wedding, wish I would have been invited ;)

Very cute! I like those pictures. It's different, but I like that.

I follow Kelly Clarksonon FB & Twitter; she said she went to the wedding & it was one of the prettiest weddings she's ever seen.

I wish them love & happiness together!

Duh, my bad, I fixed the title! A four pound corsage would be a bit much:lmao:!

that's the latest thing, the custom bouquet from sentimental jewelry, brooches etc. A large bouquet runs about $500. Also many have a painting done of their bouquet as well, kind of in an abstract way to have as a momento.

OMG - this is so trendy right now and it really needs to go away. I have been to four weddings over the past 6 months and each bride did this (and none of the brides were friends or related).

The bouquets were totally tacky and heavy as heck! Not a trend that I'm into at all!! Blech!

Sorry, I didn't see the bouquet - I couldn't get past how HOT Blake Shelton looked (even though I could be his mother)! :lmao: :lovestruc

I have never seen a brooch bouquet before but I think it's kind of a nice idea.

I think that her bouquet was pretty and I really love everything about the wedding. I like both of them and it's cool that they finally got hitched.

How lovely! I have a friend who got married on a farm, and for the reception, she and her bridesmaids wore funky rubber boots ("wellies" they're called in England). It was adorable! I wasn't brave enough to do anything like that for my wedding. Kinda wish I was!

Recently in the wedding threads someone posted a brooch bouquet she had made. It actually was very pretty (not my style, but pretty). I think prettier that the one that is posted on this thread. She even gave directions on how she made it.

I am sure you can do a search to come across it, if you are looking to recommend it to someone. :)
