My apologies if this has already been posted – the search feature has been disabled and I can not verify!

Anyway, one of the cars from Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride is up for sale on ebay! Check it out –

WALT DISNEY WORLD Mr. Toad's Wild Ride Car

Take note – shipping alone is at least $600! Hmmmm, I wonder if I can check it as baggage on my flight home?

I wonder what will be next – a bucket from the skyway? One of the old Swan Boats? Or maybe, just maybe, a sub from 20k LUTS?

Enjoy!

If i had the money i would look into getting all of those ride vehicles. what a collection that would be right?

Hey welcome to my home. Want to see my vehicle collection? :)

Before they had Disney Auctions on Ebay, they sold the Dumbo ride "cars" at the Disneyanna convention one year. I am not sure how many they had for sale, but I read about one guy getting one for $5,000. I don't think that is too bad! This was years ago when they were re-doing the Dumbo ride and making it more colorful.

A few months ago Disny Auctions was selling seats and portholes from 20,000 Leauges Under the Sea/WDW.

they've already sold sky way buckets on ebay, and although I don't think they ever sold an entire sub, they did have things like portholes and jumpseats from the 20Kluts subs sell on ebay.

One time they had the monorail cab car! It was unbeliveable! Wish I remembered how much starting bid was, I'll have to see if dh remembers.

If only I can keep that darn John Stamos from bidding, I may have a shot!

If I had enough money I wouldn't even bother buying the cars. I'd just pay the money to have my own personal TTA built through my house.

I am waiting for piece to the ELP. I keep checking;)

o.k., my name is Sandy and I'm a Disneyaholic:smooth:

Definetly could be worse;)

Hmm interesting way to get to school.... much better than driving... save on gas!

I have always wanted to own one of the dolls from It's a Small World. Made my parents ride the ride over and over in 1970 at DL and have always wanted one for my den. Has anyone every seen one on ebay for sale?

If I had the money I would bid...dunno what I do with it though, but Mr.Toad was my favorite ride ever! it would be SOOO worth it! :)

Our boys loved this ride! Not sure if it was because Mom & Dad thought it was lame! ;)

I have two fond memories of Mr. Toad, one from Disneyland, and one from WDW. First, Disneyland.

As I was waiting in a very long line for Mr. Toad (this was pre-Fastpass days), I noticed a man and his son walk through the exit and board the next empty car – no questions asked and not a word said by the CMs. You could hear a grumble through the entire line! When I finally got to board, I asked the CM who that man and his son were, and why they were able to walk right onto the ride with no waiting. The answer? Why, it was Mr. Eisner and his son!

Now for WDW –

Many, many, many years ago when I was a sophomore at a Clearwater, FL high school, I went to WDW on a school trip – that night was grad night, but the daytime was undergrad day. Myself and three of my friends rode Mr. Toad early in the day, and during the ride, two of my friends in the car in front started goofing off in a major way. To no one’s surprise, security was waiting for my friends at the exit, and my friends had a nice little “chat” with the nice men.

We shrugged it off, and the four of us headed off to Small World. As we boarded our boat, something strange happened. The CM doing the load leaned over and said to the two guys who had goofed off on Mr. Toad, “We know what you did on Mr. Toad. We’ll be keeping an eye on you.”

Once again, we shrugged it off, but for the rest of the day, no matter what ride those two guys rode, the CM doing the load would lean over and say, “We know what you did on Mr. Toad. We’ll be keeping an eye on you.” They would eventually get so frustrated that they left the park early and hung out at the arcade in the Contemporary.

And when we returned to school the next day, everyone in the school kept saying to those guys, “Hey! I heard you had a good time on Mr. Toad!”

Long live the toad!

While riding this ride in DL my then 4 yr old daughter was terrifed on this ride. She was holding her favorite stuffed doll. Fluffy. Well when we got to the end of the ride she didn't have her doll. It seems she tossed in into the gates of hell. When we told the CM at the end of the ride what had happened. He made a phone call and before we knew it another guest had carried Fluffy out. Thank Goodness. I can't imagine what the night would have been wiothout her fluffy to sleep with.

Hmmm..$600.00 for shipping...you mean I caouldn't just drive it home ;)

Tee- hee- hee.... I wish....Mr Toad's was one of my childhood favorites and I would bid on a car if I had an extra $3000 lying around...*sigh*

That would be a lot of fun, except for one minor problem. According to the fine print, "The motor and any other operating machinery will be disabled and/or removed from the vehicle prior to sale."

Hmmm, maybe you could rig something up? Do the Tim Taylor thing and put in a nice small block?

Uh-oh, more fine print - "It should not be altered or modified. Materials of construction, including surface coatings, may contain hazardous materials that could create potential health concerns when disturbing or altering the surface or underlying materials — e.g., machining, sanding, drilling, paint stripping, or cutting. No alterations or modifications that could disturb surface or underlying materials should be conducted without prior consultation with a hazardous-materials expert."

Kind of makes you wonder - all these years of riding Mr. Toad, were we exposed to hazardous materials?
