Not sure if this is the right board, but I have heard so much about Mr. Potato Head, could you please tell me what this is and where we will find him? ::MinnieMo ::MinnieMo ::MinnieMo

Thanks,
Julie

You can find him at once upon a toy in Disney Marketplace.
You get to pick out all different kinds of disney things such as mickey mouse ballons, sorcer hat, mickey ears, mickey ice cream bar, there are so many to chose from. You get a box and you can fill it all the way, just as long as it closes.
And if your a star wars fan they have a mr. potato head darth vader, at star tours in MGM.

Here is the supplier's website which has some pictures of him (just click them to enlarge):

Basically, Mr and Mrs Potato Head are plastic potatoes that are sold with lots of body parts and accessories (hats, shoes etc) that you can attach to the potato to make lots of different looks. Mix n match! :cool1:

Some of the Disney hotels sell them, and various shops in the main parks also have them (I can't remember which places we saw them at the parks).

When you fill up your box with accessories, you are allowed to put them INSIDE the potato too (and then put him in the box). That way you can get a lot more accessories for the price.

Thanks Jc :worship: :worship: Do you know the apporx. price of these things? ::MinnieMo ::MinnieMo

I'm sorry I don't know the exact price, I think its between $10-20.
I think that I remember it being about $16.99.
Maybe someone else has the exact price.

Tip:
Don't buy the 'potato body' part at Disney...you can pick up a cheaper one at Target or Walmart....Just fill your box with the little accessories, that are only sold at WDW, so you might be able to fill the box with enough accessories for two 'potato heads'.

Does my post make sense?

Ther is/was a place atleast in toon town but thought I saw the same deal at DTD where you could get a box and fill it with whatever you wanted/could fit in it for one price. Discussion was that if you got your potato elsewhere and filled the box with body parts (some quite unique since parts arent easy to get by themselves elsewhere) it was the best deal. I think the price was 18.00.

Target has a set for like 10, walmart has them for 8-15 etc.

is 18 dollars a lot of money for all of this?

i can't make my mind up if it is or not?

considering they seem much cheaper in wal mart.

any opinions please?

We got a whole lot of pieces for $18. More that will actuall fit on 4 bodies. As long as you go for just the pieces and not the body, it is probably a good deal.

The appeal here is that there are parts to make Mr. Potato Head a Disney character. Mickey gloves, Goofy hat, etc. Those are things you can't get at Walmart.

I bought my potato parts in dec. & the box is $18. I asked around the different stores and they all agreed that the toy store at DTD had the largest selection. I picked what I wanted & then gave it all to DH to get it in there. After 20 minutes of packing & repacking he finally got it all in (sort of)!!! The top didn't really close, but they let me slide thru. :flower:
