Mr & Mrs "practically perfect" Disney-moon!

Love reading about your background story and how you found Mr. Right...and how you both love Disney! :) I also love how you started running...I keep trying to start but I just can't do it. I feel like my ankles are going to break, and I don't have week ankles, I used to roller skate and I could ice skate with no problem...I just can't run! :rotfl:

Can't wait to read more!

Your background story was awesome. It's so true that when you start remembering yourself and getting back to what you love, it all works out in the end. :lovestruc

Mine too .... definitely a sign of a man to keep forever. sweet story and can't wait for more!

:thumbsup2 There are moments when I feel like I need to pinch myself and make sure its real. I know that's very cliche, but its so true. Are there times when you just feel so lucky!? I know I do, especially looking back from where I came from! I thought what I had was a "good" thing. Know I know what a "good" thing really is. :)

I remember feeling like a lot was gonna break when I started running. It was baby steps for me. I still wog (walk-jog) a lot, and I take walk breaks whenever i feel the need. It could possibly be your shoes. Have you ever checked out a athletic shoe store where they will fit your foot? The store I went to did an assessment of my running. They asked me a series of questions. Then they watched me walk and jog on a treadmill barefoot and with shoes. Then, they had me try on some shoes. I found out I needed shoe inserts to help support my foot because I have really bad flat feet. Then I also had a complaint about always feeling my ankle shift up and down when running. I tried a different shoe, and that went away. I am not a professional, but there are some out there who might can help you find shoes that are more supportive around your ankle ... if you're truly interested in trying to run. :)

Thank you! I think we allow ourselves to forget ourselves way too often - hopefully you understand that.

My pre-trip spill won’t be nearly as entertaining as it could have been. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a lot of time to prepare/plan for the trip … I was preparing for a wedding! Which turned out beautifully, I might add. See:

I did manage to book our accommodations. We didn’t struggle at all in deciding where to stay. The budget dictated that we could choose between Value or Moderate. And when I priced the difference, we easily decided on a Value. The money saved would go towards eating around the world and would be our “extra” spending money for the trip. After all, we knew we would only sleep at the resort. I knew that POP had its own bus, so that’s what I suggested. Jeremy agreed because he had stayed there last time he visited and LOVED it! Yay! That was easy.

I knew for sure that I wanted to fly. It didn’t take too much convincing, but Jeremy had never flown before. He had only driven … 15ish hours … to Disney. I’m sure the ride down was awesome with the anticipation of arriving. But, the long drive back – with the anticipation of returning to the “real” world and work … not so awesome! Some of you may remember the “Visit Florida” coupon from Southwest? I used that along with the lowest prices I had seen to score us round trip tickets for right at $363. Not bad! Now, I just had to calm dear hubby’s nerves of flying!

We got married on Saturday. Our flight to Orlando wasn’t until Sunday. My best friend from college (who happened to be the photographer for the wedding) volunteered to drop us at the airport and pick us up from the airport since she lived in Jackson. Yay, no parking fees at the airport! Now, I just had to find accommodations for Saturday night. I started looking for a hotel and realized I had enough Marriott Rewards Points to cover the cost of our night stay. Score!

Now, to plan for Disney … dining was first priority. I knew were late in planning. I was hopeful that we would still get some good reservations, but we both knew it might be a little difficult. I gave the list to my travel agent first. She immediately responded that I would only be lucky to get Le Cellier and California Grill this late. When she sent back my dining reservation confirmations they were not on there. I was so sad! A couple days later I got online and started playing with times for the two places in the online reservation system, and guess what???!!! I got both of them!!!! Oh yay! They were at odd times, but we didn’t care. We just wanted to eat there. We knew we could easily plan around dining reservations with just the two of us. After I made those two reservations, I ended up changing all the original reservations to consider park hours, EMHs, and the projected crowd levels. This ended up being our planned dining itinerary:

October 3: Arrival Day, No ressie
October 4: 10am, 1900 Park Fare
October 5: 9:30pm, California Grill
October 6: 1:20pm, Le Cellier
October 7: Eat Around the World @ F & W Festival
October 8: 9:35pm, O’Hana
October 9: 8am, Kona Café

All of the above ressies were new to both of us. That’s one thing I love about us. We both love trying new restaurants and new foods – another reason we were both crazy-excited about the Food and Wine Festival!

And, our planned park days:

October 3: Hollywood Studios. This broke my heart! I am very much so a Magic-Kingdom-FIRST-kinda-girl, but it was a MNSSHP that evening. Our plane didn’t land until 3pm. So, we chose to do Hollywood Studios first this trip.  But, you betcha MK was the first full park day! AND, you betcha I made it clear for future reference my status as a MK-FIRST-kinda-girl! Lol.
October 4: Magic Kingdom
October 5: Animal Kingdom
October 6: Epcot – Future World
October 7: Epcot – World Showcase
October 8: Toss UP Day
October 9: Departure Day, No park

As for planning much else, I was hesitant. Both of us are fairly well Disney-informed individuals. We spent the months leading up to the honeymoon quizzing each other. I didn’t want to be “over-the-top” in my planning. I have been known to be that way on occasion. I can’t help it. I like to be organized. There is nothing wrong with organization! I *don’t think* I’m crazy about it … I just like to have some general idea about what’s going on and when. At the same time, this was our honeymoon and I didn’t want it to be too structured. I wanted us to enjoy ourselves. And, I didn’t want us feeling like it was mandatory for us to be somewhere at some specific time. So … as a result, outside of the above planned park days, I didn’t plan much else. I know there are lots of you out there cringing when you read that. It’s okay. The world didn’t stop. We did plan to eat around the world on Thursday at the Food and Wine Festival. The lack of planning did prove to be a teensy bit challenging throughout the week … but you’ll hear about that later.

Next Update will start day one, so come back and visit. :thumbsup2

Yay, if you’re reading this, you came back … for … “the rest of the story” (Just for fun, does anyone know where that quote comes from?)

Paul Harvey! I loved listening to him!

Thanks for sharing your trip report with us! Since my honeymoon so many years ago was moving to CT I love reading honeymoon trip reports to WDW!

You got it! Good Job! And, do I read that right? Your honeymoon was moving to Kentucky! I think that calls for a Anniversary Celebration at Disney! hehe. What part of Alabama were you from?

I've got one more update ready today ...

Honeymoon: Day One :cool1:

We wake up and look at each other realizing this is our first day to wake up next to each other as husband and wife. Ahh, what a good feeling! We enjoy that moment, then up and at it. We’ve got things to do and people to see and places to go...places to go? Where are we going? Oh yeah ... we’re headed to DISNEY today!!! Woohoo!

Jeremy hops in the shower before me. While he’s in the shower, I take the opportunity to plant his little “happy” from Tink. I decided as I was packing my bag the week before that I wanted Tink to visit Jeremy every morning of our honeymoon. Yes, it’s childish, but if he truly was the person I thought I knew him to be, I knew that he would love this! So, off I go to the grocery, Walmart and Dollar Tree to help Tink find the perfect little treasures for the young lad. You’ll have to keep reading to see what Tink brings him every day! ;)

I HATE I didn’t take pictures of this for you guys, but maybe you can picture it in your head as I describe what takes place. He walks out of the bathroom to find a little baggie lying on the bed. He asks what it is. I tell him that Tink stopped by to visit us while he was in the shower and she left that for him. His eyes widen and a great big grin sweeps across his face. “For me?” he says. Yup, for you! He rips open the baggie, as the ribbon was tied to tight to undo, and finds wrapped up in tissue paper 2 packages of his favorite gum. And, a note … Tink included a note! Lol. (Oh, I might still have the note. I’ll have to look when I get home.) I remember the note reading something like this, “Meg told me that you’ve never flown before. Chew some of this during takeoff and landing and it’ll prevent your ears from popping. Oh, and remember to take some with you to the parks – they don’t sell gum in the parks. Have a magical day. Love, Tink.” He thought it was the cutest thing in the world! Success is sweet! At this point, I don’t think it even crossed his mind that Tink might visit every day. Even better!

I hop in the shower and quickly get ready. Once I’m dressed we decide to walk down to the Continental Breakfast. We had no intentions of eating their breakfast because my sweet nieces had packed us cake and snacks from the wedding. So, breakfast was wedding cake and coffee for me, milk for dear hubby. A bit unconventional but Mmm!

At this point we finish getting ready and re-pack our bags. This is when Jeremy discovers that he failed to pack his wall charger for his cell. We decide to throw in a Walmart run before heading to my friend, Kristen’s house. She had so graciously agreed to take us to the airport and pick us up so we didn’t have to pay parking. How sweet! Here we are at her house ready to leave for the airport.

honeymoon308.jpg

Oh, let me back up. I had also discovered that I had bought the wrong memory card for my camera while packing at the hotel. I also realized I needed some more water packets – you know the crystal light packets you can put in a bottle of water and shake for instant flavored water. Yeah, I can’t leave home without them. When we walked in Walmart we saw Halloween Costumes! So we stopped off to see what they had. We had been debating whether or not we would attend MNSSHP but didn’t have costumes and we weren’t successful this trip either. We picked up our other stuff - from the list - we had made in our heads - and left for Kristen’s house. (Remember that last sentence. It will come up again soon.)

Once at Kristen’s house, we started moving our luggage to her car. I just needed to slip our Magical Express tags on the bags. I get out the tags that I had placed on the dash of the car when we left the hotel and there’s only one. I know there were two when I sat them up there. Ick! I searched everywhere in the car and deducted that one must have flown out of the car at Walmart. It was a little windy. So, we pondered … just check the luggage our self? Send one bag and check one bag? What to do??? We decided to take the chance and cut the luggage tag in half. We only had two bags. Worst case scenario, we have to go back to the airport and get our luggage. It was a gamble … one we decided to take. What were the chances of our luggage getting lost?! Ha. Ha.

We’re packing up Kristen’s car for the airport and you remember that list – the one we made in our head … we forget to buy Jeremy a wall charger! The one thing that began the Walmart run, we forgot! No stress. Things happen. But, we don’t have time now to make another run. Actually we did but since it was DHs first time flying he wanted to be at the airport the suggested 2 hours ahead, so we didn’t have time. I had my phone and my charger, so that’s all we used all week. (Will this bite us in the booty later in the report???) We called his family on the way to the airport and tell them he won’t have a phone all week.

Curb-side check-in at the airport was a breeze. No lines. No waiting. There was a short line at the security check but we were still through it in less than 15 minutes. They had to rescan and open my carryon bag to find my 8 rolls of quarters. Lol. I guess they showed up funny on the scanner? Yay, so far so good. Jeremy doesn’t seem too nervous. We walk straight to our gate. It was a little crowded. It appeared several families were headed to the mouse’s house. You can always tell by the Disney gear, happy excited faces on the children, semi-stressed faces on the parents, and grand-parents in tow! Man, I can’t wait for that to be me.

By this time it was around 11:15. Our flight was supposed to leave at 12:20 so I tell Jeremy if he’s hungry we should probably go ahead and get something. I knew they would start boarding the plane at least by 12. So he decided to grab some nachos for us to share. I’ll have to look up the ticket to post the prices. The nachos were messy but they were yummy. I failed to take a picture. But, I did snap a quick pic right before we started boarding the plane. I don’t think there was any nacho on our faces. Hehe.

honeymoon311.jpg

I’ll leave you with that picture.

Next update: OH my gosh, we’re really here!
Will our luggage make it to our resort? How will Jeremy handle the flight? And, something happens on the flight – bet you can’t guess what. What will we do first once we get to the Mouse’s House???

Can someone point me to directions on how to link to my actual posts for my table of contents in post #2. Where do I find the URL?

You got it! Good Job! And, do I read that right? Your honeymoon was moving to Kentucky! I think that calls for a Anniversary Celebration at Disney! hehe. What part of Alabama were you from?

Not Kentucky it was to Connecticut..Very cold when you move there at the end of December! I do hope that one day I do get a Disney Anniversary trip just me and DH. We are originally from close to Tuscaloosa (Roll Tide!) but now closer to Montgomery.

Don't you hate that about the cell charger. We have had that happen before so now we always get the same phone or atleast get phones that can use the same charger.

Yeah, you're off and on your way! That's one of my favorite parts of traveling is the anticipation and excitement of travel day. :cool1:

Yep, I changed my mind. This is the next update. You’ll get the “..we’re really here..” update next.

I’m sure there are some folks out there who do not know how flying Southwest works. Dear hubby was one of them. I had to hurriedly explain it to him the night before when I rushed to the computer at the hotel while he rushed to get checked in and to the room. Lol. I explained that Southwest has no assigned seats – seats are first-come first-served in order of how passengers are checked-in for the flight. Amidst all the glory of planning and then getting married the day before, I had forgotten to schedule a friend to check us in online. Ick!!!! Can you believe that? And to boot, I hadn’t even thought about it until we were in the car on the way to the hotel. Needless to say that’s all that was on my mind the moment we reached the hotel. Not getting checked in … just give me a computer! Lol. I got us checked in and felt ok when I printed our boarding passes. We were in the B’s and we were around the 40s – not the best place, but I still felt we would find 2 seats together. Ok, ok … secretly I worried a little. But I didn’t let DH know! I crossed my fingers for 2 seats together and then for a window seat since DH had never flown before.

So, we had eaten our yummy nachos, taken that cute picture posted at the end of the last update, watched all the elite passengers board, then all the A people board, then all the families with small children board, then we finally got in line with all the other B people to board. This was the point where I stood in line thinking – I wonder how many people can fit on this plane? Are we gonna find two seats together? Ugh, I hope so. I’m sure all these strangers around me a good people, but I’d really like to sit next to my new hubby. We walked onto the plane and I started searching. Oh there’s two … no … there’s a little kid I couldn’t see. Oh, maybe there … wait … someone’s already sitting there? Ok … then I saw two aisle seats together. Better than not at all, eh? I poked Jeremy to take the 2 aisle seats but he quickly pointed to 2 open seats … yay! And, we did get a window! Woohooo! Crisis averted! As it turned out there were still several (8 or so) spots with two seats together, they were just closer to the back of the plane and I couldn’t see them.

We settle in our seats. One of the stewardess’s – is that spelled correctly? It looks funny! Anywho, one of the stewardess’s is helping passengers get their bags placed correctly in overhead bins and she notices something about us. I can’t remember what. Maybe I had some paperwork out or something. I can’t remember ... she asks if we’re headed to Disney. The following was the conversation that took place:

DH: yes, we are
S: oh, how fun. I used to work there. Make sure to check out the food and wine festival at Epcot. It’s going on right now.
Me: oh, we are. We’re looking very forward to it.
S: I’m sure you’ll have a lovely time … enjoy your vacation. Oh, and enjoy your flight.
DH: thanks. Its actually our honeymoon and this is my first time to fly.
S: Your honeymoon? Congratulations! When did you get married?
DH: yesterday
S: (sits in the empty seat next to me) Newlyweds! What are your names? (she looks at me)
DH: Jeremy and Meg
S: (gets out a notepad and starts writing) And, your last name?
DH: Funderburk
S: Oh, can you spell that for me? Let me make sure to get it right.
Me: (looks at dh with a hesitant face) oh no, she’s going to announce it
DH: F…U…
S: Oh wait. Let’s see if the bride knows how to spell her new name. (looks at me)
Me: F-U-N-D-E-R-B-U-R-K
S: (looks at DH) is that correct?
DH: yes
S: ok. Congratulations. I hope you enjoy your first flight. And, I hope you enjoy Disney! (she leaves)

Jeremy is none the wiser. He’s thinking she was just a nice lady. I’m thinking – what is she gonna do???

Not longer after that little exchange we take off. Jer handles the flight quite well. He kept asking “is this normal?” about little things like the noise in the cabin during take off, the turn the pilot made right after take off, the teensy bit of turbulence we felt during the ascend, etc. He would just look at me and ask, “is this normal?” It was cute. He was mesmerized with looking out the window. I knew he would be. Its not long till they come around with complimentary drinks and nuts. He thinks it’s cool. I read a magazine for a little bit, then fall asleep on his shoulder. He has a good shoulder – it’s like a momma’s shoulder. Very comfy! Hehe. I doze in and out of sleep the rest of the way. Its only when the pilot comes over the speaker that we are starting our descent do I semi wake up … but I’m still laying there with my eyes clothes. A minute later a stewardess comes over the speaker with this message:

“As the pilot just said, we are starting our descent into Orlando. We need to do a quick test. Could everyone please close your window blinds.”

She pauses and waits to see all the windows close. Jeremy looks at me. “Is this normal?” No, darling, this is not normal. I don’t have a clue what’s going on, just do what she says … it’s just a test. He looks very hesitant.

“Now, if you could cut on your call buttons …”

Jeremy didn’t know what that was, so I showed him. The cabin was dark except for the call lights and the floor runners.

“Well, this really isn’t a test … it’s really a candle light processional for a special couple we have flying with us today. They are newlyweds. Their wedding was yesterday. Jeremy and Meg Funderburk come on up! I know I saw her sleeping, but wake her up! Believe me, it won’t be the first time you’ll have to wake her up.” Everyone giggles.

OMG, really? I have to get up and walk all the way to the front of the plain in front of all these people with I’ve-been-asleep-on-DHs-shoulder-hair??? … Up we go … Jeremy is just grinning and laughing the whole time. He thinks it’s funny. He loves the attention.

“We have a special cake for you guys. It’s calorie free, 2 ply, and there’s enough for everyone to have a piece.” She giggles, and hands us a roll of toilet paper with coffee swizzle sticks stuck in it and they’ve written “Congratulations” on it. Cool. A roll of toilet paper! Woohoo!

“We also have a bottle of champagne for you two to celebrate with later. From Southwest. Thank you for flying with us, where there’s always loooooooooooove in the air. Let’s all give them a round of applause!”

The crowd cheers. All eyes on me … er, on us.
I feel unprepared.
I don’t have an acceptance speech!
What ever will I do???

I think Jeremy shook her hand, and I said “thanks, ya’ll” to the 3 stewardess standing there. Yes, my southern roots shine through!

I’m sure by this time my cheeks are red with embarrassment. They are. I can feel the heat overcoming my face. We return to our seats greeted with congratulations from several people on the plane … my bottle of bubbly and roll of toilet paper in hand. What a picture that would have made! I can’t help but laugh when I think about that combination. Jeremy loved it. He was still grinning once we got back seated. So, that’s what happened on our flight. And, here’s a picture of the proof:

honeymoon319.jpg

Apparently, they sometimes do this to people who are celebrating a birthday, because one of the pilots told me “happy birthday” as we were exiting the plane. Lol! Cool, huh?! Happy Birthday to me too!

Great start. Can't wait to read more.

HI!!! Welcome! And, thanks for stopping by!

Great update :thumbsup2 and great pictures...cant wait to read more :goodvibes

Thanks, Shannon! Glad you stopped by. Hope to see you around! ;)

We're already planning Anniversary Trips!
My sister lives in Pelham. My mom grew up in Mackenzie. And, I spent several years visiting in-laws in Tuscaloosa. Small World!
You'd think they could make universal charging docks for all phones!!! Someone should come up with that! It would sale like CRAZY! Don't you think so?

Yeah, you're off and on your way! That's one of my favorite parts of traveling is the anticipation and excitement of travel day. :cool1:

Thanks! I read your previous TR --- good job! I enjoyed it very much. AND, can I just say that I'm jealous you're already planning another trip back?!

I love travel to Disney day!! :cool1:

Loved how Tink brought your DH a little present, what a cute idea! :thumbsup2

I always get so nervous that my DH and I will get separated on SW flights, which is why I started paying for Early Bird check in! That was so nice what they did for you guys on the plane...even if it was probably a little embarassing! :rotfl:

awwwwwwwwwww!!! That was so cute with the roll of cake. I got teary reading about it. Wow. What a great start. Can't wait for more!!

The Chapter stuff.. If you haven't found out yet, I didn't notice a reply.. Just open a new tab by clicking on the number of the post you want. (top right corner) There's your link. ;)

And that is one of the many reasons I love SWA! Who else would do that? Well, actually a flight attendant on a US Air flight did give my son a goody bag full of all sorts of things after he got sick on a flight.

But still. That is just too cute.

And :woohoo: to getting two seats together.

That is too funny!!! I love it, I think that is a great way to start your honeymoon :goodvibes

How funny! My DH would have been so embarrassed. I love how they made you a toilet roll cake. Awesome memories.

:cool1: To say that we were excited to be in Orlando is an understatement. We made a quick pit stop and then got on the monorail headed for Magical Express check-in. Woohoo! We had already started seeing Mickey and the gang on advertisements and we were like kids. If you happened to be in the airport while we were walking through I bet we made an impression … you probably wondered where our parents were. Now, this was the first time using ME for both of us. I wondered if we were going to be waiting in line for an unseen amount of time. We had our voucher that was mailed to us so we bypassed the first counter all the way to the herding gates. Yes, I said herding gates. That just seems appropriate. There were people standing in 2 line waiting to see a cast member (are they called that at the airport?) to direct them to the correct area for their resort. But there was another cast member with no line. I grabbed Jeremy and kept walking for the empty line. I kept looking to make sure the line wasn’t for a special group of people. There was no sign, it was just open. This is a Disney lesson. I know others have mentioned it on the board because I’ve read about it --- just because no one is in line doesn’t mean that you can’t use that line! If it looks open, generally it is. Even after we walked through with a breeze, I turned around to see if any people moved from the lines of a steady 5-6 families waiting. What do you think? Nope. They stood in line.

So we walked through the herding gate to the end of the line and was pleased to find only 10-15 people already waiting in front of us. It was at this point that we got out my phone to call home and let them know we safely made it to Orlando. The first thing Jeremy told his folks was about the flight and what they did for us. He was so cute! After our conversations with home, the wait began. Here we are moments after we got in line. We really are so stinkin’ excited, as you can tell in the pictures.

honeymoon312.jpg

honeymoon313.jpg

Jeremy struck up a conversation with the lady from the couple behind us while I was on the phone. Well, actually their interaction began when the husband told his wife about a football game score, and Jeremy asked him to clarify since he had only overheard. Then, the lady and Jer hit it off and started talking about Disney and where to eat. She was so sweet and motherly. She asked if we were on the dining plan and told us we needed to make sure to book dining reservations if we hadn’t. Jeremy told her we had and then they started talking about the places we were going. They were just two ordinary chatterboxes! Lol. The couple was headed to Caribbean Beach for vacation. I think she said they come to Disney 2 times a year – once with family/grandchildren and once by themselves. How sweet! I hope I get to do things like that with my hubby for years to come! And, hopefully we’ll be fortunate enough for it to be Disney! ;)

2 buses came and went with passengers headed to different resorts. And, then they came and got us. Whooppppieee! This is the only picture of the bus I was able to get:

honeymoon302.jpg

And, I tried to get a close picture of the back. I love this part about ME buses.

honeymoon303.jpg

And, here we are in our bus seats ready to go! Give us the video and get us to the Mouse’s house, please! :0)

honeymoon316.jpg

So, our review of ME - We only had to wait in line 15-20 minutes at the most. It would have taken us much longer than 20 minutes to get our luggage and a car to begin heading to Disney. Then traffic and unfamiliar roads. Yep, ME was a good choice. Jeremy agreed. And, remember, he’s the one that has only ever driven to Disney. So, for those of you who wonder whether to use ME – I would definitely recommend it! Besides, you start the Disney magic :wizard: the moment you land in Orlando! What can be better than that?! :woohoo:

Soon we were on our way … we both intently watched the video – and when I say intently, I mean 5-year-old-on-the-edge-of-your-seat intently. Lol. :rotfl: This is something I adore about my dear husband. He is a man when the time is right or when it’s necessary, but when he can be, he is a genuine child at heart. That makes my heart smile! And, that little attribute made the whole vacation! So, we watched the movie intently. On the edge of our seats. And, with giggling.

We dropped people off first at Carribean Beach, then it wasn’t long before we saw this:

honeymoon317.jpg

And this:

honeymoon318.jpg

Happy Dance! We’re here! We got off the bus, and didn’t have to wait for luggage because ME would be delivering it to our room … hmm … or would it even make it to our room since we cut the tags in half???

We had to wait in line to get checked in for just a couple minutes. The young man who was helping us asked if we were celebrating anything. Jeremy quickly said, yes, it’s our honeymoon! Boy is he proud to be married and on our honeymoon! Lol. The cast member offered us an “I’m celebrating” button.

Ummm … no, not interested! We’re not ‘just’ celebrating, we’re ‘just’ married, dude! :confused3

No, I didn’t say that. I wasn’t rude. But that was what I was thinking. Instead, I said, what about a “Just Married” button?

“Ugh…mmm…hmmm…let me check in the back” was his response.

He came back and said “we don’t have Just Married buttons anymore.” I waited for more. Nothing.

“So you don’t make them anymore or are you just out?”

“We don’t have ‘Just Married’ anymore, we have a ‘Happily Ever After’ but we ran out of those last week.”

Sad face. Oh Disney Magic … where are you??? :sad2:

The cast member didn’t offer any other information or advice about the buttons.:confused3 Instead he asked for my credit card to put on file. Ugh. “So, we can just pick a button up at the park, right?” I said. “oh, yes. They will be able to help you.” Great. Thanks. For making us feel super special. At Disney. For our honeymoon.

Well, we are kids at heart so one not-so-helpful cast member is not going to get us down! He gives us our room assignment and we’re off to venture through the resort. Jeremy couldn’t wait to show me around. He had been here before. I hadn’t. We make a quick pit stop, then meet back up right outside of POP store. Jeremy takes my hand, looks at me as serious as possible, then says “OH my gosh, we’re really here!!! I can’t believe we’re really here!” while jumping up and down like a kid.

A huge smile creeps across my face. :goodvibes Yes, dear. We’re really here!

He scurries off to look at something in the gift shop and I have to just stand there for a moment. I think to myself… Thank you. For being you. Thank you. For putting a smile on my face! I really am here. I just married this wonderful man. And, we are here. Together. To celebrate our life together. What a great way to start. At Disney. Where we can be kids. Not adults. Where we can appreciate little things. Not worry about ‘big’ things.

Wow. I'm so blessed.

Then I scurried to catch up with the child I let loose in the giftshop!! :scared1:
