MR cruise - Jan 22/12

Has anyone called to ask which movies will be playing on our cruise? If so, can you post. It is hard for me to call due to time differences.

I can call

That would be great! Thanks. The phone number is on the "Alphabetical" sticky.

I am going to post a thread asking what activities there actually are for Tweens on the ship. People seem to report that they basically just turned on the Wii in Edge, but the Navigators have activities listed. I wonder if they don't do them?? I want to get my boys excited and looking forward to the Edge, but I don't want to tell them things and be wrong, ya know?

I noticed there are alot of 9 amd 10 year old girls going. I have a 10 year old daughter that is very outgoing too. All the other girls in our group are 13 or 14. I am a little concerned about her feeling lleft out. Maybe she can meet up with some of the girls and enjoy her time in the club!!

I have had a whole new idea for my fish extender, so today I am going to do that. We have all the clothes out and tried on. I just need to wash them since they have been put away since September, and get them packed into the suitcases. :laundy:

We were in Mexico twice last year(Cancun) and we never felt uncomfortable walking around in th eshopping areas. The people are actually very nice. I actually stepped in a pothole(on Isla Muejaris) and cut my foot which required 9 stitches. The Mexican people were very helpful, they helped me up, applied pressure to my wound, called an ambulance, brought me bottled water, reassured my children, and helped me back to our boat. Not one American tourist stopped to help, but they did stop and stare!! They are very kind to tourist because that is the hand that feeds them.popcorn::

I am so excited about this trip, I can barely even concentrate at work. Two more weeks!!!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Ok, just got off the phone with DCL, these are the movies I was told would be playing:

Cars 2 (2D & 3D)
Winnie the Pooh
Fright Night (3d I think she said)
The Help
Reel Steel 3d
The Muppets
Toy tory 3 (3d)
Gnomeo & Juliet
I am #4
African Cats
Prom
Pirates of Carribean on Stranger Tides (3d)

I asked about Beauty on the Beast and she said she didn't see it on the list but it is subject to change at anytime. I forgot to ask about War Horse

I'm surprised War Horse would not be playing since it's newer than some of those movies listed. I'm excited to see African Cats since I never got to it when it was out.

I hope they show Beauty and the Beast in 3D--that would be really fun. My kids just auditioned this weekend for a Christian Youth Theatre production of B&B and my older daughter was cast as Mrs Potts and my younger daughter is the owner of the insane asylum that takes away Maurice. I think they would get a kick out of seeing it on the cruise.:goodvibes

That sounds fun for your kids. Congrats to them!

I am hoping B&B is shown too! I checked and it is starting in theatres on Jan 13, so we should have a good chance.

nsiordia, thanks for calling and for posting! On our other cruises, it was warmer outside and I had planned more port activities so we only saw one movie I think. This time we will probably have time for a few.

Can you all believe there is now only one more group of cruisers boarding the Wonder before it is our turn to be welcomed aboard?!!

Help-where to store bags at port after cruise! We are trying to find a way to store our bags after the cruise for a few hours to wander the port a little before shuttle to LAX late flight. Also, any discouont codes for Disney Express from PPH to the port? Supershuttle is nearly as much as the express. I am so excited-mere hrs away from DL then cruise!:cool1:

Can we do a meet anywhere or does it have to be something with an assigned place...I know other groups have gotten a room before, but I have no clue how they did so.

Pirate ship is really awesome. We did it once on a trip to PV, you'll have a great time :)

How did you find navigating the stairs on the ship? I hear they are steep. also, how did you find getting off the ship to go to the beach part?

I think a meet would be great...but this is my first cruise, so don't know how they do it!

There are not that many of us. I think we could meet anywhere. Maybe up od Deck 10, where there is lots o space or somewhere inside (but I can't remember a good spot for it inside.) If there were going to be lots and lots of us, I would recommend letting DCL know officially.

I would try to come to the meet, but would have to think how to tell DH since he might think I am a crazy lady for meeting up with internet friends!

Haha--I've met with internet friends on another board (this was years ago) and my family wanted me to keep the phone handy to call the police in case they were all ax murderers. ;) Needless to say, it was fine and they were just regular people--but it's a bit hard to explain to other people!

I don't know they ship so I don't know where people typically meet, but I would be up for it.

I dont remember the ship real well, but on our other Cruise, we met up by the stack, before the Sail Away Party. Someone had organized getting rubber bracelets in DIS green so we would recognize each other. It seemed there were a few tables and chairs up there.

Hiya

Just had a little look at your thread as my friends are sailing on it.

Just a little idea, On my previous cruises we have always done the promenade lounge at 3 pm. Perfect time to have had lunch, checked out your room and you can go straight to lifeboat drill from there as you don't have to take your lifejackets with you anymore :thumbsup2

Very nice venue!! There probably won't be many people in the bar at that time, so it will only be you guys gathering there :)

One more week to go! I have stuff all over my room trying to decide what to take! Did we decide if we want to have a meet?

I think there are a few of us that are interested in doing a meet.

There was a suggestion of the Promenade Lounge at 3pm??
