I haven't seen this posted anywhere (and maybe I have missed it) - Has anyone purchased MPLL in advance and then upgraded a ticket to AP at the parks? Were the LL selections erased? I read on the Ask Disney board that they could be.
My son has MYM 7 day park hopper tickets that we purchased through SOG (my dad is retired AF). Now he is going with my sister and I on a second trip and it makes sense to upgrade his ticket to an AP. We tried to upgrade over the phone, but after an hour the very nice cast members finally came back and said they could not do it and we would have to do it when we got to the parks. (they really tried to do it over the phone, which I appreciate - they did confirm the ticket is eligible, but they were trying to upgrade it in a way where we would keep our SOG discount - I was totally prepared to just pay whatever the difference is).
Anyway - If we purchase MPLL 1 week out, will he lose his selections once we upgrade his ticket? Has anyone tried this? Worst case, we will head to the blue umbrella people to see if we can get his LLs back (my sister and I will have the same LLs so hopefully they can match him up with us), but I am hoping to not have to do that. I just wanted to see if anyone else had tried this.
