We just found out that DH might get transfered to Salt Lake by the beginning of next year. I've started looking at houses to see what we can get, and I've found some areas I like. The problem is, where are the best schools? The areas I've looked at are one is in Salt Lake, the area over looks the Capital area. I'm not sure of the area name, but it looks like a GREAT neighborhood. The other areas I've found houses in I like are Sandy and Draper. Obviouly the house in the Capitol hill area is the Salt Lake City (West High School) school district and all the houses I like in Sandy and Draper are in the Jordan district. Which would be better? I'm just trying to decide, so I have a better idea where to focus my attention on. Also, DH probably would be based downtown somewhere, and I know the Capitol Hill area is very close to downtown, how far would it be from Draper and Sandy during prime commuting times?

You will love SLC! It is a very nice, clean city. My brother in law works downtown there and lives in Centerville- about a 15 minute drive north of SLC. I don't know much about the schools there, but if you'd like I can talk to him and see what he thinks.

Thanks karebear1, we're probably not going (if it happens) until next year sometime, I'm just trying to get an idea on things if this does happen. So, bumping back to the top for any more help!

that was a possibility for us last year and I looked at houses and oculd not believe how inexpensive they were!! OMGOSH you can get a HUGE house for under $200,000.!

Sorry I dont know anything about the schools though.
Good luck!
