Moving Luggage During a Split Stay

My family is travelling to Disney in November. We're staying the first night at AoA, then moving to Beach Club for 8 nights. How hard is it to move luggage from one resort to another, and how do I set that up? We will also be sending a package from Amazon to our resort. Is it better to send it to AoA or Beach Club? I heard BC has a convention center and you have to pay for packages and pick them up yourself. Thanks for any input!

Bell services will move them for you - just check them with AOA to be transferred and head out to the park but be aware it can take all day so don't expect it until at least check in time. Alternately have one person cab to the other resort with the bags and have bell services at Beach Club hold them until your room is ready.

We do a split stay almost every trip. If staying just the first night at Aof A, I would pack a single piece of luggage that contains everyone's items for that first stay. That way, you can leave the rest of the luggage closed up. The next morning call Luggage services at A of A and tell them you need your luggage transferred over to Beach Club. I always carry my own valuables including my IPad in my backpack. I typically tip the luggage guy $20 as we usually have 12-15 bags since we move food as well as luggage. Next, stop at the front desk and ask to be manually checked out of AOf A. (This may eliminate issues later). Then board a bus or hop in your car and go to your intended park. If you have pre checked into the Beach Club at some point you will get a text with your new room number. Once in your room, call Beach Club bell services and ask if your luggage has arrived from AOf A. Luggage usually doesn't arrive until after 4pm or so in our experience. We always tip the delivery person on this end too.

Thanks, it's good to know that it can take a while before we see our luggage again!

Thanks, that's a great point about packing a single bag of stuff for the first day. I want to take care of as much as possible in advance and not miss out on any park time!

Anybody know about having packages delivered to Beach Club? Do you really have to pick them up yourself -- they won't bring them to your room?

For packages, they are delivered to the Convention Center and you will have to pick them up yourself and there is a handling fee.

For grocery deliveries, they are delivered to Bell Services and they will bring them up to your room once you are in the room.
