HI all,

We are checking into BCV 8/26 for 1 night in studio and then switching to 1 bedroom for 4 nights and then moving to BWV 1 bedroom for a night. I want to order some groceries..not a lot, just water, pop, flavored creamer, bagels & creamcheese, 1/2 gal milk, laundry detergent etc. I am getting an owners locker which I will store the laundry stuff when we leave. I really would like to have the groceries for Sunday morning, but then would need to move them out and store them until new room is ready later that day. I will also need to move the leftovers on Thursday when I move to BWV. How do I go about having bell services store the perishables? Will they do this when you are moving?:confused3

Just take your groceries down to the bell captain of the resort you are checking into and ask them to store the items in their refrigerator until your room is ready later that day. They will also hold onto your luggage.

We have also gone away for the weekend to avoid the higher Fri-Sat points, and they have been able to store our items until we came back on Sunday. I think wherever you have a DVC ressie they will do this for you. We just saved our grocery bags (we always rent a car and shop at Publix) and put the groceries back in there. They give you tags just as if you are checking pieces of luggage.

We have had no problems with bell services holding perishable items. Great service they offer!

Bell services has been great about storing groceries and luggage. Also, since it is valet parking at BWV, that makes it all the more convenient. Have a great vacation!!

Can I call bell services to come up and get the bags? I will have 2 suitcases and a duffle in addition to the groceries and I am a single Mom. I don't think DS and I can carry all of that down to the stand.

They will come up and get groceries, etc for you. The resorts will even move your luggage for you between resorts if it is too much for you. I have not tried this but was just told this two weeks ago because we are getting in late on our upcoming trip and just staying in a value resort and then moving to a 2bdrm at OKW. Make sure they know there are perishables, though...

Thank you! That is just what I wanted to hear! I have a feeling I will be doling out the tip money on this trip!

We moved from OKW on a Sunday a week ago to BCV.....and we had fridg. stuff and a bit of freezer stuff. We got a jerk bellman that complained about moving groceries and put up a fuss with my dh and he did not want to move the cold stuff. Too much effort for him. grrrrrrrrrr. So we get to BCV later that day and check in, ask for our bags and my waffles, pizza pockets were thawed. He had put them in the fridge with the other cold stuff. WE had told him that bag was freezer. Oh well........

Oh that stinks.....they didn't offer to replace it for you? Friends of ours had a non working refrigerator at OKW last summer and the front desk put a credit on the room for them to replace all of their groceries.

Yeah the tip money does cut some major ice!!:-)
