We're making a move from VA to Florida in the next few weeks. We'll be living in Melbourne. I bought annual passes a couple months ago for the full price, of course, and the move was rather sudden so I had no idea we would be Florida residents in a couple months. I notice that it's around $400 savings total for both of our annual passes if they had been purchased in Florida.
I was wondering if I contacted Disney, are they likely to give any kind of discount refund, or maybe upgrade me to premier for cheap/free or something once I'm a Florida resident? It wouldn't surprise me if they didn't, but I was just wondering if anyone else has been through this situation and if there is any way to recoup funds.
Also, we took our first visit to Disney yesterday from our new place in Florida (which was also the first time we've ever parked at a park). I paid the parking fee then got home to notice parking is free for AP holders. How do you manage to get that? Just show your AP card to the parking attendant at the gate?
Any help would be appreciated.
