Hi,

My family is renting a ssr gv & studio for 3 nights then switching to OKW gv for 3 nights. Does anyone know if they will transfer our luggage from one resort to another? All ressies are using dvc points. It would be a total of 6 peoples luggage.

Yes they will - just leave your luggage with bell services and have them deliver it to your new resort, you will just need to tip them.

My sister moved from SSR to AKV on our last trip - the only problem was they 'lost' her laptop for several hours. Turns out bell services at SSR said they sent it over, but they didn't. Took a little bit of time to sort out but in the end worked out fine.

Others have simply taken a cab to the new resort with their luggage.

We were asked to call Bell Service's the night before and a time we wanted our luggage picked up, Sure enough they were there with bout 5 minutes to spare delivered it to OKW for us, However we did have to call OKW Bell service's to have it delivered to our room when we were physically in the room I believe we signed for it and tipped, VERY easy....Have fun...Shawnpirate:

A question - do you tip when you leave your luggage at resort 1 or when you pick it up at resort 2 or both? And how much do you tip. We will be doing the same thing in two weeks. We're spending our first night at POP Century before checking into VWL. My plan is to take our luggage down to Bell Services at POP. Then we'll go to a park before we check into VWL around the middle of the day.

Luggage transfers happen around 3:00 PM. Call Bell Services after you check-in at your new resort and they will bring your luggage to your room.

I think it is appropriate to tip on both sides. Usually 1$ per piece of luggage.

I have a different sort of question regarding changing resorts. Is this frowned upon and how many times can you change? My family is going down this December and we are having a BIG argument on where to stay. Going down on points and the choices are The Treetops, AKL and WLV. Any chance to stay a few days at all three or is this pushing things? :confused3

No clue on the DVC side, but we've bounced around for regular hotels before to include a DVC one. So I'd imagine it isn't too hard.

We often change resorts during our stay. It is an easy process. We tip on both ends. In March we started at BWV, then BCV and back to BWV. One tip, try to consolidate your bags to as few a possible. We tend to pack our laptop into one of our pieces of luggage rather than just in its own bag. That way it is well cushioned and it's not obvious what it is.

:)
