Movies You're Embarrassed You Like

Fools Rush In with Matthew Perry and Salma Hayek

Desperado with Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek

Hmm, maybe I have a thing for Salma, lol.

I can also watch The Fifth Element and the first Mummy movie with Brendan Fraser over and over.

I loved Fools Rush In too! "You're everything I never knew I always wanted" is one of my favorite lines :D

Thank goodness I'm not the only one.

I crushed on Patrick until the day he died.

"No one puts Baby in a corner!" (FTR I know that's Dirty Dancing)

Roadhouse is so bad it's good. If I'm ever channel surfing and it's on, I'm watching it right through to the end, where that stuffed grizzly falls on that guy.

(Sorry, spoiler alert.)

Camp Beverly Hills with Shelly Long. It was on TV a while back and my DH walked in the room, watched it for like 3 minutes and declared that I have terrible taste in movies. I couldn't really argue with him, I do watch a lot of movies that have been mentioned so far.

I watched that movie with my 10 year old and enjoyed it. I had watched it as a kid as well. He went to Cub Scout day camp, and I volunteered for a day. One of the other volunteers was wearing the Cub Scout leader shirt, a kilt, a neckerchief, a beret, and a whistle-he was leading a pack of 6 year olds. I mean he was so intense. I about died laughing thinking about that movie...I tried to explain to my DH and he just didn't get it. A few of my friends (my age-mid-30s totally got the reference though)

OK, now that I'm thinking about the greatness of bad Patrick Swayze movies, I'll mention another one: "Next of Kin," with Swayze a boy from the mountains of eastern Kentucky who's become a Chicago detective and is out to find his brother's killer. Horrible, horrible movie on so many levels (including a young Ben Stiller as a mob boss' son), but I like it because Liam Neeson (Patrick Swayze's brother, Briar--yes, that's his name) does a killer mountain accent in that movie. I mean, I'm from that part of Kentucky, and Neeson just nails it. Mesmerizing.

Love Patrick Swayze movies. Roadhouse, Dirty Dancing. . . doesn't matter. I'll watch them until the end.

I was curious to see how bad it was supposed to be, and was disappointed that it wasn't horrendous at all. I never understood all the hate it received. It's not a GOOD film by any criteria, just run of the mill fluff, but I ended up liking it.
I watched all the pop singer movies that summer. I didn't hate Crossroads. I loved A Walk to Remember. So Glitter was the last one. The ending did me in. It was just blah and the ending was horrible. I felt like they were trying, but it totally fell flat. So I decided it was better as a Horror film than a drama. :D

This one had it all!!!!

All the wrong things, that is.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer with Kristy Swanson. My dad and I watched that movie and laughed through the whole thing. Several years later when they announced the TV show, we figured we would watch to get a few laughs again. Imagine my surprise when it became my absolute favorite TV show! The movie was pretty horrible but I still watch if I see it on tv. (Dad and I watched the show every Tuesday night together even after DH and I got married and I moved out of my parents' house. Joss Whedon is awesome!)

The live action Scooby Doo movies...

And, Suckerpunch - got like 0 stars.

Almost all romantic comedies, almost all christmas movies, Twilight sagas (oh dear God Edward...), all Hallmark movies....

My dh and three sons have a riot making fun of me but I don't care.....

Edited to add, I am NOT embarrassed to admit I love these!

Troop Beverly Hills is comedy gold! I LOVE that movie. I guess Camp Nowhere is one of those movies that I SHOULD feel guilty about, but I love it! Turns me into my 14 year old self.

Not really embarassed about movies as much as not knowing why everyone else seems to hate them:

Cars 2
Speed Racer
2 Fast 2 Furious (IMO the most lighthearted and fun one out of the franchise)

Oddly, all of them are very colorful, over the top movies about cars
