Movies You're Embarrassed You Like

I like the Chipmunk movies--I think they are hilarious. I was stuck seeing "The Road Chip" when I got the movie times mixed up with my 2 year old (we were going to see something different) and I was braced for the worst. I was cracking up for the whole movie!

I'm not embarrassed about liking any movie, but the one's I catch the most flak from others for liking are:

Avatar
Star Wars Prequels (particularly Phantom Menace)
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Wild Wild West
Most M. Night Shyamalan movies (particularly Lady in the Water)
Superman Returns
Rocky IV (come on, it's the best one!)

Interestingly I get a lot more flak from people about NOT liking certain movies, that apparently I just HAVE to like. Some are:

The Nolan Batman films (The Dark Knight mostly)
Anything by Tarrantino (particularly Pulp Fiction, and Django Unchained)
Deadpool
Anything by Wes Anderson
2001: A Space Odyssey
X-Men 2 and X-Men Days of Future Past
The Hangover
The Godfather (yeah, I know)

I once got called an "unamerican communist" for not liking Michael Bay's Transformers movie. I think I'm winning that one though.

I loved that movie!!! And my DD18 and I love campy, low rated movies... some of our favorites:

Xanadu
Electric Dreams
The Pirate Movie (with Kristy McNichol!)
Night of the Comet

Oh, my, gosh.....love Xanadu and The Pirate Movie. On my list is DC Cab and Buckaroo Bonzai

I think this applies to ALL of the movies on the Hallmark Channel! But I agree, I love them all too. :) (Not only that, but they were just running Christmas in July movies on Hallmark and I watched most of them :rolleyes1)

Don't like all of them on there but there is this one Hallmark HOF they show ALL THE TIME. It can be a game it is so cheesy. It has Patty Duke (rip). There are orphans. There are "angels". Christmas is ruined. Christmas is saved. There is a deadbeat dad. There is a goofy Andy Griffith type police department that doesn't actually solve any crimes. There is a fun loving judge who stops a trial in the middle and everyone lives happily ever after (except the stereotyped druggy mom). It might be the worst acting ever in a movie. The worst plot.
I LOVE it. We watch it every year. Several times. It is in heavy rotation along with another cheesy classic One Magic Christmas (Mary Steenburgen)
