Movies That Make You Weep

I cry so easily with movies.
Most recent movies to make me cry are Frozen--"Do You Wanna Build a Snowman"
and The Hunger Games when Rue dies and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire too many scenes...

Oh I forgot Facing the Giants. That one scene in the parking lot. Just makes me sob every time.
I watched a bootleg copy of the musical Next to Normal on youtube. I was a mess by the end of Act 1. Just cried and cried. I am no better at the end of Act 2. That show just makes me cry, but I can't stop listening to the music or watching parts of it on youtube.

Wuthering Heights with Juliette Binoche and Ralph Fiennes. The scene where Heathcliff breaks the glass and enters the room where Cathy is lying in the casket is heartbreaking!! I cry every time i see it!

My Girl. The funeral scene kills me every time. I bawl buckets when I watch it. Probably explains why I have only watch it completely through like 3 times. :rolleyes1

Same here. I cannot get through that movie without becoming a sobbing mess.

I really don't know if there's any others. There's ones that have causes me to tear up but not sob like that one except the documentary Dear Zachary. Absolutely horrible.

8 Seconds. I actually watch the credits at the end with the real photos and continue bawling.

Legends of the Fall. Great movie though.

My Sisters Keeper. It's a movie about a kid with cancer. I didn't stand a chance with that one.

Soul Surfer... after the shark attack when the mom is driving/racing to the hospital praying "Please don't take her" over and over. I lost it. Having 2 daughters I couldn't even imagine being able to drive.

Oh this one did me in, but it was raw to me. Obviously not the same as an arm, but my 9 year old daughter lost half of a finger in a freak accident in Sept and we were wading in new waters. Rented this at her request, but I wasn't prepared for it. When the parents come back from the hospital and sit in the truck and discuss where to go from here and relate it to bringing home a baby. I (and DH too) sat and bawled. It was a cathartic movie for us. and one we needed to see, but boy was it extra emotional for us.

Can I just try to list the movies that I actually DON'T cry in? That would be much shorter. :rotfl2: I am a big cry baby!

Anyway - here's a short list.

I absolutely REFUSE to watch Marley and Me or any such movie that an animal dies, period. I have a yellow lab myself so that's a no go for me.
I am way too sensitive to animals - so I don't even attempt it. Same goes for hunting shows - thankfully DH watches them when I'm not around. :(

I think one of the worst ones for me was The Passion. I had no idea I would be such a mess.
OMG...:faint: heaving sobs in the theater that were just out of control. I had the worst headache ever after watching that one, but thankfully I wasn't alone, everyone around me was crying too.

The first time I watched Titanic I sobbed when the mother was putting her little ones to bed, saying prayers, with the water coming up around them. Completely lost it.

I don't think I even took a break during What Dreams May Come...just started crying early on and never stopped. :rotfl:

The Notebook - of course.

The Help - when Skeeter finds out about Constantine and says "you broke her heart" - DONE. Watched it last night and thought for sure I'd make it through without tears eventually. Nope, last night wasn't the night either! :worried:

I could go on and on...happy cry, sad cry, etc...I'm a bawl bag!

Right there with you with animal movies. Will not watch Marley and me either.

Bambi
Wizard of Oz - when toto and Dorothy are separated
Ol yeller
My Dog Skip
Brian's song

I know many others but can't think of them. For the most part it is regarding animals.

Terms of Endearment when Garrett (Nicholson) shows up to support Aurora (MacClaine) at the motel. God what great acting in that movie!

There are so many... I'm a crier!

The Notebook
Titanic
Inception
Armageddon
Braveheart
Ghost
Twilight Breaking Dawn part 2 (more because all the series is done, but still, I cry every time I see it!)
The Lion King

Forgot two:

The Impossible--our church showed the movie last summer. When they showed previews for the movie the week before, dd and I cried so we knew it was going to be a sobfest when we actually saw the whole thing.

Passion of the Christ---Have never seen a movie have such a profound effect on everyone in the theater. Not a dry eye in the place. I was worried that dh would have an issue with the subtitles (he hates having to read anything) but I don't think we read any of them anyway.
