Can someone please give me information about the movies shown for children at the HRH? I know I have read something about them on these message boards. Are they shown every night? Is this done only at HRH or all Universal hotels?

Are you talking about the Dive-In Movies? They are only once a week and they never show anything rated over PG-13.

If you stay on the Club Level, you can view DVDs on the set in the lounge.

They may also show movies in Camp L'il Rock, but I don;t know that they do that every night.

Hi Kelly.

Yes, I am talking about the dive in movies. Do you know what nights they do this? It sounds really fun.

By the way, I just bought your book and I can't say enough good things about it. It helps build the anticipation for the trip!

Dive-In movies were on Friday nights during our 3 stays. (Once they had movies Fri and Sat, but that was due to the HRH's birthday bash.

We were at HRH this past week for 4 nights and yes they did have the movie for the kids.Because of the threatened lightning and thunder it turned into an indoor movie in the lobby. The movie was "How the Grinch stole Christmas".They turned the lights down and provided a snack bar(not a freebie). We also recieved our bottle of wine for being leows members and the night we checked in we recieved and invitation to a social.Free drinks and appetizers, also in the lobby area. That was great. The group Insync was there during our stay!Any questions??:smooth:

Hi. Thanks for the information and I hope you had a great vacation.

I do have a few questions. Were the rooms relatively quiet? I have an 18 month old so I have been worried about the noise. How crowded was the pool? I would love to stay at PBH because I am assuming it would be much less crowded, although I could be totally wrong in that assumption. My 6 year old and 11 year old would probably enjoy HRH more, though. Are the rooms a decent size? Again, I am thinking that PBH probably has the bigger rooms but I am not sure.

Thanks again for all of your help. Was it terribly hot and crowded?

Thanks! We had a great trip.I will try to answer all questions.Yes,it was very hot.We tried to get an early start every day, took along the water bottle fans that I purchased at Walmart for $4.00 and then come back for about 3 hour swim. The evenings were great.Really cooled down.So far as the noise...I really don't understand why some parents think that it is o.k. for their kids to use the hallway as a track at 1:00 in the morning! That is my only beef so far as the noise.Personally I would have enjoyed ceiling fans. The rooms are good size,2 queen beds and we bring an air mattress for our 7 yr. old.I think that your kids would really like the pool.Music under water and the big slide. The walk to the park takes about 5-7 min.You can also purchase your tickets at the concierge desk.We got the buy 2 and get the 3rd day free. The parks also honored our refillable cups from last year, even gave us new straws for free!Hope this helps...any more questions??:smooth:

Thanks again for all of the helpful information!:)

The poster for the movies says"weather permitting".We were at Disney this past dec.,the week before Christmas and it was warm enough to be in the pool.So they probably do.There are raft rentals available.
