I love bad movies :rotfl: Saw this a couple of times on SciFi (now SyFy  ).
Is this it?? It was really bad ;)

King of the Lost World

A plane crashes in a remote jungle. Many survive, but the cockpit and the front end of the plane is nowhere to be found. The only way to call for help is to find the cockpit and radio a message.

Someone climbs a small hill and they see the cockpit in the distance about a mile away or so. So a bunch a people decide to leave the plane and head over to find the radio. John Roxton (Rhett Giles) and Ed Malone (Jeff Denton) lead the small group through the jungle. The rest of the passengers stay put in case a plane passes by.

While traveling through the jungle, they encounter giant spiders, man-eating plants and a skeleton of what looks like a giant flying lizard. A few people are killed during the trek towards the cockpit.

They arrive at the fuselage when they notice that its not the same plane they flew in. In addition, the radio and all other important instruments have been stripped and taken away. They are startled by lt. Challenger (Bruce Boxleitner), who managed to travel by himself all alone to the downed plane, still carrying a briefcase that he doesn't seem to want to part with.

Meanwhile, painted humans capture the passengers that stayed with the plane.

They continue on their way to find the cockpit and encounter an F-18 this time. Challenge tries to turn one of the missiles into a flare gun, but fails. While stopping at a cavern for the night, they are attacked by giant scorpions and other insects. They escape except for Roxton who is impaled by a scorpions sting. As they escape from the caves, they too are captured by the painted humans.

The humans are other people that had crashed a long time ago and they created this rite, which sacrifices a few humans to the flying reptiles in order to appease them. The whole ceremony fails when a giant ape attacks the area. Many are killed and most escape.

Military jets fly above and attack the giant ape, but they also crash since no airplane has ever been able to fly above this jungle in years. Challenger was on a mission to defuse a nuclear bomb, when one of the painted humans attacks and hurt him. Its up to Malone, to detonate the bomb and destroy the giant ape.

Malone detonates the bomb and the giant ape and a lot of flying reptiles are destroyed. The cockpit they were looking for is also destroyed, trapping them in the jungle.

That sounds awesome; I love horrible movies like that. runs off to check if we get syfy

omg omg king of the lost world that was it.....:jumping1: thank you sooooooooooo much!!!! :worship: i thaught i was losing it after i couldnt figure it out. This is dd by the way. my mom thaught i was losing it too and i swore she sat there and watched it with me and now that shes seen the preview shes like "yea i remember that now". So thank you so much for easing my mind. I really thaught i was going crazy! :woohoo::thanks::dancer:party:

Went to imdb...this is a relatively new movie? And it has Bruce Boxleitner! Woo!

I always wonder what prompts good actors to do schlock...we figure it always comes down to either a mortgage payment is due or a kid is off to college. :)

Though nothing, NOTHING, can explain Jeremy Irons in Dungeons and Dragons. Now THAT is a bad movie. Not a fun-bad movie, but just a bad one... DH and I watched The Mission the other night, and felt so sad for him, that he felt compelled to do D&D...

We see a lot of actors in those SciFi movies and wonder "why"?
One of my biggest surprises was seeing "The Chairman" from Iron Chef in one :rotfl:

I think when they hit hard times and aren't getting hired, it does pay those bills.
