Very good movie (much better than the Da Vinci Code) and I thought Ewan McGregor was excellent.

Yes I agree, I loved the movie. We saw them filming parts of it at Sony Studios in Hollywood last summer (there were cardinals being driven around the set in golf buggies!!) The Vatican set was amazing.

I'm glad we gave it a try because we liked it better than Da Vinci too!

Glad to hear it! I just got it in the mail from Netflix, and I am ready to watch it. The book was exciting, but I didn't care for the end.

I just couldn't picture Ewan McGregor as a priest.

I was very disappointed in the movie because they changed so much from the book.

I mostly agree with you here. The movie itself, overall, was pretty good. But I to didn't like how many things they changed from the book. I know the movie won't always be like the book, they will change some things around; but they left out a lot of key details and characters IMO.

A bunch of us watched it together the day after Thanksgiving and several of us had read the book a long time ago and we were trying to remember the ending. We remembered a little of it but not everything. what we remembered was a little out there.

I saw it in theaters and actually came out shaking because it was so good. I'd read the book a few years ago but I couldn't remember much of it so I was very suprised throughout the whole movie. It is an excellent movie and I loved Ewan McGregor!

I thought the movie was decent in that people who hadn't read the book could still follow a cohesive storyline. For those who read the book, yes, a lot was left out and simplified. However, I still thought it was a better book to movie transition than DaVinci code had been.

I enjoyed it, my husband - not so much. But he kept cracking me up by calling Ewan's character Obi-Wan all night. ("What is Obi doing? Are they going to help Obi?" lol.)

I also thought the violence against the priests was a little too graphic, but I still liked the movie.

I haven't read the book.

I liked this one much better than the first movie. I loved the first book but haven't read this one yet...I just didn't think the first book translated to a movie all that well...it's hard to depict somebody's thought process on film.
