Here are some of the photos I took at the Dream Castle Hotel
The single King rooms (with one king bed), on the top floor, have sloped ceilings. While this probably adds to the look from the outside (giving it the look they wanted) it does take away cubic footage from the rooms, making some of the square footage useless (except to store junk).
This feature does allow for a little fun with the window display.
I was tempted to get the large stuffed Minnie as a Princess (and do the princess in the tower theme), but I didn't want too large a plush to bring home (nor did I want to spend the 30 Euros).
I tried a similar theme with my Madeline doll, but she was too small and my zoom (either optical or digital) was not enough for the look I wanted.
So I settled for this one:
To give you an idea of how small this room really is (although it was big enough for me).
The lobby had some nice set ups for photo opportunities.
It also had some things which both added to the decor, and served to get the kids to ask their parents for coins.
The views from the hotel were awsome. If DisneyLand did fireworks, I am certain one could see them from the hotel.
I don't think there could be a room without a good view.
Here is a view from the back (my room faced the front)
And below is the view out my window:
I found the bed and bedding to be quite comfortable and the bathroom well designed with everything in very good repair.
The dinner buffet was way over priced, and not at all quick. I decided to try it, after seeing very long lines at all eating places in the Disney Villiage. When I consider how long it took between the time I was pretty much done eating, and I had settled the bill completely, I would have been better off waiting in a line in down town Disney.
The food was quite good but not the quality of what I would pay that much for. It cost more than I would normally pay for a very fine meals at a very fine restaurants where I live. But I don't eat large volumes of food.
The breakfast buffet was far more efficient. Because everything was included, there was no need to wait around for a check to settle. I was always quickly seated, and could leave as soon as I finished eating.
I don't think they place the same emphasis on non-smoking rooms as most hotels (non Disney owned) do in the states. However, it was obvious to me that someone had gone to some effort to cean the room of smoke residue for me.
All the bedding was quite fresh. There was a strong perfume smell the first day, which I discovered was coming from a large chair someone had tried to rid of a cigarette smoke smell. I was able to eliminate the smell by leaving the window open.
The closet had a strong ceader smell. I think this was intentional. I left it open with the window also open.
I didn't use the pool or hot tub, but it all looked quite nice.
