Moved from DVC-Plng: Babies at WDW?

Could you stop in a cheap motel/hotel for a night or are you doing the 17 hrs. straight?

We've never done more than 6 hrs straight without a long stop then continue. We did about 18 hrs to Disney, with older kids and we did 6 hrs. then a long break about 1.5 hrs. Then about 4.5 more hours of driving and stoped at a Holiday Inn for the night. Left early am for Disney, with about an hour lunch stop. But, we are not a big road trip family. And, my husband can't drive all night like some people do while their child/children sleep.

We're a big road trip family; always been. If we do this, we'd be driving down in a van with my DH, DP's, and DD, so we'd have four people who could drive. It's just a matter of how she'll do; I think she'll do fine, but we just have to see.

She'll be fine! We took DD when she was 9 months and drove down from NY, a longer ride than yours. We took DS when he was 8 months and drove too. They slept most of the time. With 4 drivers you'll make good time and have plenty of people to keep an eye on your DD. Bring your own stroller, a Baby Bjorn and you'll do fine in the parks. Make sure to get her a wide brimmed hat too. Use the baby care centers in each park for some down time. At that age they are so easy, wait till she's 5 with an opinion of a 14 year old!LOL:lmao: That's when it gets more difficult! My DD is 10 and DS is turning 5 and they are not so easy going anymore! Good luck and have a great trip!
