Move Your Louis Vuitton Luggage for my Piggly Wiggly Bags Please - Leave in 1 day!

Oh man! I've been wondering where you were and missing you!! No advice but big hugs for a speedy recovery. My mom's already making plans and cleaning for all of you. ;) I think you're actually getting a cleaned garage....no more Sanford & Sons!

Take care of yourself, sweetie!

Oh gosh! I'm so sorry to hear about your ER trip. I was right there with ya ... the family went on a bike ride yesterday and I slipped on some wet leafs, hit the curb, fell and broke my hand. Not as bad as you though. Hope everything gets figured out soon

Hopefully you still had a nice Thanksgiving! And your trip is quickly coming up :cool1: knowing that should brighten your mood a little!

Awww, Dawn and NJ. I'm so sorry that you guys are having such a time!
Dawn, I know you said your stomach was distended the other night.... I guess I've been dense and not paying attention to the promptings of the Big Guy, He's been nudging me all day to go into "special prayer," as Mackie called it the other day. ;)
I'm sorry. I guess your friend here needs to pay more attention to the promptings of the Great and only One better than I have..I promise to get right on that.
I'll be calling today at a more reasonable hour (more reasonable than now ;)) to make sure your doing better. :) I love you sweet friend, good things are on their way.
I hope that everyone else had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Dawn, so sorry you were sick. Did you have an ultra-sound? I worked for a surgeon, and I don't like the sounds of that - you should insist they get to the bottom of it immediately - there are alot of emergencies it could be. I, like Millie, will be praying for you.

NJPrincess, sorry about your accident as well. Praying you heal fast!

I stink as a friend...I apologize for not calling you today. How are you doing? I've been praying my tongue off. ;) Hoping your doing much better, and I'm going to do my best to call you on Sat. My love to you my dear friend.

That sounds painfull and like something I would do! In flip flops at the Boardwalk esp! (For those who remember the laughter that creates from my old PTR!)
Hopefully you still had a nice Thanksgiving! And your trip is quickly coming up :cool1: knowing that should brighten your mood a little!
You too!
Ohhh, Dawn, you need to get better, quickly!
Amen!

I appreciate all the prayers!

So I went back last night to Urgent Care after worse distention and saw a doc I like a lot who listened and went through some things.

The result:

We think I am lactose intolerant.

And the kicker...all the Gas X type stuff for bloating I was given... well the main ingredient is lactose so all I was doing was making myself sicker.:rotfl2: Seriously - how is that for luck?

She had me list all the things I had consumed - and I told her I was staying away from wheat/grains and included the Gas -x tabs in the itenerary of the days and she said..."What if it is a food allergy but we are looking at the wrong foods?"

Since Thursday I had eaten mashed potatoes (butter, milk, cream cheese) and other things with dairy avoiding wheat thinking it was glucose related...and now always noticed bloating after things like pizza - but again thought it was the crust.

Since no dairy - my stomach is slowly going down and I feel so much better - it could also be the vicodin! ;)

She said stay away from dairy 100% for 4 weeks and then if I eat any - use lactaid before it and try things slowly.

I would post pics if I wasn't so mortified but if you can picture a 9 month pregnant belly - that was mine. Add to that I am overweight - and it looked like I had swallowed a turkey. I was up 9 pounds at the urgent care last night from my weight on Tuesday morning. And believe me it hurts so bad to eat - I was hardly eating anything.

The doc yesterday was like - if it is not dairy - go get put in the hospital until something is tested and figured out because my blood pressure was high and they think this allergy caused a case of pancrentitas (sp?) because I was so distended and inflamed on my left side.

What makes me mad is that I have had signs of this for 3 years now. They always assume it is kidney related. Heart palpatations, stomach distention, naseau and now after research - it is all signs of a dairy intollerance.

So I am slowly feeling better - sorry for being MIA - I will update details tom. Thank you all for your patience and thoughts and prayers.

I guess I will never be asked to do a "Milk... it does a body good poster!"

Oh - the state fair- all the milk you can drink for $1! Do you know how much I love milk? Ugh! Oh well...this will help me loosing weight I am sure!:goodvibes

I'm glad you might have an answer at least. Take care of you, hon!! I'll continue praying for sure (and cleaning if mom has anything to say about it...)

Hello Dawn,

I hope they figured out what was wrong. Food allergies are hard to pinpoint.
Get better soon. Your trip is not far away!

Although I'm sorry to hear about your allergy.. hopefully the discovery will make you feel better!! :thumbsup2

Can't wait to hear more details about your trip!

Glad you are feelin better Dawn and that you hopefully have found out what's causing all your troubles!!

My mom has had stomach issues for years, and after every test in the world showed nothing wrong, she finally had a doctor tell her to avoid dairy products. She's not necessarily lactose intolerant. The doctor just told her that dairy is one of the hardest things to put on a sensitive stomach. And she was living off of cottage cheese and string cheese etc.

Sure enough, after cutting back on her dairy, and drinking a thing of probiotic yogurt a day, which for some reason doesn't work the same as dairy dairy :confused3, she's 100% better. She was even able to stop taking her Nexium! Go figure! All the years she was in pain, and all she had to do was cut back on her dairy!!

Anyway! Just wanted you to know you aren't alone and that there is definite hope with this whole cutting out your dairy intake!!

:goodvibes

Thank the Lord above they finally came up with something! I bet you'll be better before you know it!
I'm sure it's no fun going through it, but as you said it will probably help with the weight issue. Miss talking to you, Christmas is bound to be much better! ;)

This makes me feel better because I was feeling like I was crazy. Bizzare symptoms that do not seem to be related all turn out to be ones other dairy intollerant people have as well.

I hope so! Thanks for the thoughts honey!

Just found this! I had to laugh at your title..we shop at Piggly Wiggly!

Last night we all talked and the kids are wanting to change up the itenerary a bit. I feel like I am on a Wheel of Fortune ride!

The conflict is of course the time needed to be here and there and still have a vacation of some sort.

The issue is Anderson and the fact we only have the 18th to stop there or the 23rd. The 23rd is out because that means shortening one day at Disney for Downtown Disney, shopping at the Cast Member store Dan now has access to etc. The trip actually in Florida will be short enough because we are driving.

So here is some thoughts:

Shannn - let me know what you think.

Leave here the 16th and be at Shannn's on the 17th. Enjoy a dinner with her family etc. Treyner will be driving there from Colorado and meeting up there becasue he is leaving his Jeep there over Christmas break. :worship:

Leave the night of the 18th and drive a bit closer to Anderson (It is roughly 4 hours from Knoxville) and spend the night so we only have 2 hours to drive in the morning to be there by 9am. (That way Shannn we are not waking up your house at 4 am to leave.)

See the college with Carsyn and Treyner, meet the soccer coach etc. and then leave by noon at the latest so we can be in Orlando by 9:30 p.m. to pick up Baylor.

Then head to CBR and start our Disney stay wothout having to stress so much about the trip home since all the running has been done.

The kids (Treyner included) are saying that not seeing Anderson right now would be fine. It is adding 3 hours more of a drive to the trip almost because it is a bit out of the way. The truth though is I want to see the school and living 20 hours away from it means there is no guarantee when I will have the chance to be back. I feel like a cr@ptatstic parent if I do not at least have a visual in my head of where he is going to be. If the coach won't be there - then I am willing to ditch the idea.

Then we are at WDW on property the days of the 19th - 22nd leaving the 23rd. The kids are thinking they want to forgo AK in lieu of a day to visit the resorts and sleep in and also see ICE which we had not seen. There is not enough time to do it with all 4 parks.

I am okay with that. I think not pushing it and having a relaxing time is the way to go. If we had hopper tickets - it would be easy to split AK/DHS into one day and just see highlights (esp. if the day is EMH at DHS) but we do not have hoppers.

Then we leave sometime the 23rd - no huge plan (maybe meet up with Shannn at GFC for lunch) and will spend the night outside of Nashville. Finish the drive home the 24th.

Any advice would be fine and appreciated.

A friend asked about deleting Knoxville all together on the way down since we will be meeting up with Shannn at WDW. I absolutely want to meet her whole family and on top of that there is the important piece of Treyner's Jeep needing a place to be. I just don't trust all his possessions and soccer equipment sitting on an empty campus for 3 weeks until the 8th of January. He won't have a dorm yet so storing his stuff is a huge concern. He can fly into Knoxville and then in January and then just have a short 4 hour drive to campus with all his stuff being safe and secure versus arriving at Anderson to a ransacked Jeep.

K - That is all for now. Have a party this afternoon and not feeling well still. Stomach is just boiling. Ugh.

Sorry it took me so long to reply. Things are crazy around here! I did finally get my Christmas cards & calendars ordered last night. I got some great deals on Shutterfly!

You really don't have to leave and pay for a hotel room on the night of the 18th.There's really not much between here and there at all!! Just stay with us that night too. We only have a half day of school so we'll be home early that afternoon. We don't care for you to get up and leave early.

If you decide not to go to Anderson on the way to FL, you can always come back with Treyner in January. I would't mind getting to see you twice! ;)

We're not going to go to AK this trip. We only have 1/2 day on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & 1/2 day on Wednesday, so I decided it wasn't worth it to try and hop over to AK. (even though we have hoppers) It's just so hectic to try and do a split up day, so we're mostly going to use our hoppers for going to MK EMH on Sunday night.

Sam bought his new truck on Tuesday, so our backyard is ready to be the Jeep parking lot! :lmao: It's fenced and we live in a quiet neighborhood (half my neighbors are cops!) so it should be safe while y'all are gone.

Take CARE of yourself and get well!!! Only 17 more days until DISNEY!! :cool1:

Sorry i've been MIA for a while.....we leave TOMORROW!!! :cool1: Hope you are feeling better...you need to stay out of the ER for a while!!! Talk to you when i get back!

I definitely understand about wanting to see the school, but you're right that the coach may not be there depending on when their Christmas break is. I'm glad Treyner has a safe place to leave his jeep!

Feel better soon!

I don't know where I've been or how I missed so much of this report. Clearly, work is interferrring with my Dis time and that is not ok!

Dawn - I am so sorry to hear you are not feeling well still. I sympathize with your pain. I am finally going to the doctor to find out why my stomach hurts all the time and I throw up if I eat 2 actual meals in one day. One meal and bagels or rice is all I can do.

I'm glad Treynor got in to his school! I can't wait to actually meet all of you in late December/early January. I'll touch base with you after Christmas to finalize those plans. I may also be in the Cities sometime during vacation. My brother has mentioned taking the kids down to the Mall of America to do the amusement park and the aquarium thing. I'll let you know.

I hope you have a great trip!

PS - Did I miss the secret santa thing? I thought I had sent you info but I don't think I ever received a name.

I ordered Christmas cards 2 weeks ago and haven't even picked them up yet so I totally get it!

Planning on January for sure or early Feb. Can't wait to see you then either! :)

Dan has been gone for 5 days and just got back and I am gone to a vendor sale today (Like I should be there by now) and so we will finalize money and details tonight and see where we are at. He just found out he will be gone again the 14-15th so his schedule changing is driving me nuts.

He just "customised" his paint job on his jeep and I am told it looks "sweet." :3dglasses It is just on the bottom part of the jeep from what I hear. All I know is his last custom paint job on his beater in HS meant Walmart spray paint and racing stripes. This time he says he used "Legit" paint so I am not sure what that means or what it will look like. Did I mention he and his buddies took off his exhaust and re-routed it right before he left for college so it sounds louder than heck? Your neighbors will think you are trying out for a new "Boyz in the Hood" movie!:lmao:

How much weight can a person loose in 14 days?

Thanks and proper post tonight if it kills me!
