Move Your Louis Vuitton Luggage for my Piggly Wiggly Bags Please - Leave in 1 day!

:grouphug::grouphug: I am so sorry that that scumbag did that to Treyner. I wonder if they will be getting rid of the kid from NM as well since he is out of state tuition.
I think NM kid is not the same because since it is a bordering state, they usually get in state reciprocity. Like Wisconsin does for Minnesota and vice versa.
:mad: I am so pissed right now for you and Treynoer. I do have a recommendation on who else to contact with your letter. I would be contacting the NCAA so they can look into it as well. Great idea! It is not fair to these kids to give up everything for a team that wanted him and then them turn around and basically dump him because he "costs too much". I could see if he sucked but he doesn't per their own info (yes I looked it up because I had never heard of Fort Lewis other than the military installation in Washington where I was stationed for 3 years).
No he doesn't suck and the thing I am glad about for Treyner is he is going to funnel his anger towards showing Ft. Lewis he is the best goalie and they made a mistake. He is going to forward them his Spring stats and he hopes it works at Anderson and they kick the cr@p out of Ft. Lewis in the future in a playoff game. The other good part is if he can play in the spring at Anderson, it will let him be seen by Lees McRae and some other really good schools in that conference and get him more exposure.
Just remember everything happens for a reason and there is a good reason for this even though we don't know what it is yet (I have to keep telling myself this as well). :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:
Treyner has the gift of a great relationship with me and other adults in his life. Who I feel bad for is the boys who may not and what emotional devastation can lead to when not given the proper outlet. How hard core they train, would be like the military booting someone. It is a different kind of mindset being that dedicated to something like a sport at such a young age. Like the difference of those of us who went to college and those of us who studied to become a DR. Whole new plateau. There are boys now on this team that found out they are not comming back with 1 week of finals left (other Red shirt Freshman in other parts of the team) that have no back up plan. That can't afford to stay and now, wonder what they are going to do. Try getting all your financial work and transcripts and stuff done in less than one month to switch out schools. Nick - the boy in the picture with Treyner and the trophy - might tag along now with Treyner to come to Anderson and just fly one way home to see if they would want him to walk on. Either that or he is contemplating the Air Force at this late stage of the game.[/COLOR]
Wow. This really stinks, but it can be a good life lesson....tell him to chalk it up to life 101 and let it be the reason he's NEVER like this to anyone.

Totally true and EXACTLY what I said. ;)
There's always something that we can learn in the circumstances of life, this just happens to be one of those carppy circumstances. Now Treynor knows his coach is clearly showing himself to not be a real man, and now he's learned not everyone will do the right thing.
As we've talked about...you can't make other's always do the right thing, we just get to be the example of doing the right thing the best we can and move on. :)
I know. Hence we covered his butt and now he knows to watch out for himself always and being respectful and being stupid are 2 different things. Smile and nodd and have a plan. Always.
Love you lady, don't let it get to you either. There's a vacation to be had and you fought long and hard for a good time, so have it and can the rest of it because it's not worth letting it ruin your wonderful vacation.
I will. Packing and laundry today. I get Skyler today (My PITA sister's daughter. I sent her a letter and it must have done some good because we get her overnight and for 24 hours. I will post pics cause she is the cutest thing in the world. Maybe take her to Princess and the Frog. Ohhhh...that would be fun. A little girl seing a princess movie. I can dress her up and make her mine and do all the stuff Carsyn stopped letting me cooerce her into at 10.:lmao:
Hell hath no fury like a ticked of Mom!
From one Momma to another - I am telling you I felt like a stage Mom. That kind of Mom for about 20 minutes. That is so not me. I don't know cr@p about soccer so I just go and wtch and enjoy. But I do know something about right and wrong and being a professional (thanks Shannn for that word choice!) and that was not it.
Hopefully, he gets what he deserves...actually eventualy he will... I didn't think Ireland was a kind of trip you take on the spur of the moment.
I know right! The sign up sheet was posted on Wed. He left on Wed. and not a thing was given as an appology about not being there or a reason.

When the old coach left to play in India, we did not hear from him for almost a month before we found out he left. It was summer so I thought he might not be by his phone or on a vacation etc. Now I know that since he was in negotiations, he was limmited on what contact he could have. That's why I wonder if that plays into this. If it does not and he just went for a Holiday for Christmas - he's a complete dink. Not a single excuse.

Treyner's birthday is Monday. I am going to put money in one of his friends accounts so she can take him out to dinner and buy him a cake. We will have a celebration once he is in Florida and we are all together. It seems so strange that it was one year ago right now we were on the trip to celebrate his 18th birthday and Baylor was fresh out of his surgeries and everything.

One of my best friends is from Norway. She and I spent 24 hours a day together my senior year when she came a s a foreign exchange student.

She is having he second child, a boy, via c-section on the 16th. How crazy is that? Our first sons are only 19 years apart! :lmao: Her daughter is not quite 3.

I will have a good chance of being a Grandma and she will be going to his first day of school.

That reality - made me glad of my life. My place. Because I toiled with the idea of more kids. Batted back and forth about just one more. I must have been on crack. I will be 42 when Baylor grdauates, God willing, and will have the ability to travel, visit friends and my kids with no restrictions to school and a schedule for anyone under 6'6. Sounds better to me right now than diaper duty 24/7.

I will check in later!

For anyone who has done on-line check in. I am a virgin to the whole thing. Know nothing about it at all. Can you request a room/location on line or what? Since we are getting there late that Friday- I want to try my best to reserve a room in our favorite location at CBR.

Thanks guys for any advice.:worship:

I'm so sorry this had to happen to you and Treyner

Some people are just going to be jerks. This was a big decision for your family and an explanation is definitely needed. There is no excuse for what this coach did. This just shows he has no class and is an insensitive person. It is not fair to Treyner, you or the rest of your family for you to have to put with this kind of behavior. And from a grown man in a position that is supposed to be one of power and respect! If I were you, I would be frantically writing a letter to whomever I had to in order to make this right by you and your family.

Hopefully you can put this at the back of your mind and focus on your trip. This guy is not worth your time or stress. He deserves nothing from you. This vacation you have coming up will be a great break and I'm sure you're going to have a great time!

He is just a dink.

Just saw on the website that on Dec. 10th the school officially posted the fact he is not the interim coach any longer. In fact he knew that before the championship game. So he has not been up in the air in his position for over a week.

Ya know our friends from Ireland have friends who know people who know people. Ireland is all about vigilante justice.

Again, I am not a violent person.
I am a totally get even type of person however.

The list is already ticking in my head.

Shave off his eyebrows.

Cut the crotch out of every pair of underwear he owns.

Get him drunk and tattoo Treyner's name on his forehead so every time he wakes up he is reminded why he should not be a dink again.

Send him an anonomous letter in the mail stating I was his lover after some great night in Dublin at a bar in 2004 and now I just found out I have some weiner eating disease that will rott his mahood off in a few weeks. :scared1: It starts with the sniffles. Looks just like the common cold. Don't take it lightly or it could be too late.

Okay - if I am laughing at this than maybe I need help. :rolleyes1 The visual of him heading to his doctor to explain his possible malady though, and the doctor laughing at him is the type of humiliation I am looking for. :thumbsup2

So I am up for suggestions.

Let me know what you got.:confused3:rotfl2:

Thanks! I feel better now actually. He is heading somewhere warmer and closer to Disney. Hello! What is there to complain about!:yay:

That and plotting the dink's demise. :teacher:

It makes me feel better!

Wait - not the interim coach anymore. Does that mean he is not at the school anymore? I guess it doesn't matter. If HE posted the sign up sheet for meetings then HE had the responsibility to be there. I am in for a hunting down and beating. Heck, I'll drive. I'm just really glad that Treynor already had a "back up plan" and that he is moving on. I still think you should let everyone at that school know what the coach did. It's not right and it could affect his future employment.

Have a great time in Disney. I've actually moved my trip up and I'll be driving through MSP on Thursday the 17th to go home. Dad had surgery and I need to get home and help out. I can't wait to see you when you get back and see pics from the trip.

Happy birthday Treynor!!!

Wait - not the interim coach anymore. Sorry - no he is now the head coach. Interim had been moved from his title prior to the Championship game. The school is bragging that he is the first coach ever in teh NCAA to win a title in his first year as coach. Isn't that usually because people leave or are fired from a coaching position when their season blows chunks?

Coach Hankinson left with a winning season only because he was offered the head coaching job of a pro team in India. He in fact stated in his own words taht he knew he was leaving a team he recruited and trained and coached since they were freshman and would be a championship quality team.

I could have had just of much of a chance to take the kids to the championship given what he was handed. I think this year does not reflect as much about him as 3 years from now will when he alone has had coaching and impact on players.

I agree. There is more responsibility for his title than on the field.

Hope he recovers well. Let me know when you will be comming back through. Treyner and teh whole gang will be here till Jan 8th.
Happy birthday Treynor!!!
I will tell Treyner you wished him well!:)

Update:

Laundry done - check
Baylor packed x 3 trips - almost

End of update.

I forgot that the kids would be going straight from Florida to Iowa for Christmas with their Dad so I need to have bags packed for their Dad to take to Iowa before we leave.

So Carsyn needs to do that still. Treyner is going to haveto have his own sorted for Florida, home and Iowa. Dan is leaving tom. for Iowa and needs to have himself packed for business and Florida and currently he is working at the Disney Store.

I am not ready. Not packed but it won't take long. Quick trip.

Baylor thank goodness has a bizillion underwear because he is packing for 18 days worth. in 3 different suitcases.

I am leaving early tom. to get to the airport to make sure they allow me to take him to the gate. Then I am going to beg that his Aunt be allowed to meet him upon his arrival to ensure he gets to his next gate heading to Florida.

That is the one thing that could really make a mess out of this. What if he ends up with a snow delay in Denver? He has only a 50 minute window between planes and I have to hope his 13 year old self will get the fact he cannot dilly dally but book butt to the next destination.

They are bothe NW flights so I hope they will be in the same concourse. I also have to pray he does not loose his e-ticket for the Florida leg. I am giving a copy to him, the other 14 year old he is traveling with and the burn coordinator who is meeting him upon arrival in Denver to hold onto the extra copy.

I also have back-up for someone picking him up in Florida if we are delayed for any reason.

We also ----will be sticking with the original plan of 4 days at the parks. Things fell together a the last minute and when you believe in the Christmas faith, the Christian aspect for myself as well as the spirit of the Day,
good things will follow.

My kids used to laugh when I said I believe in Santa as much as I believe in Jesus. And I don't mean Santa on December 25th just like I don't mean Jesus on Christmas or Easter. I mean in the person. Both actually.

In the meaning behind doing good deeds for others. In believing you are not at the center of your own universe and if you pay attention to people, really want and cherish the best for others, it will come back 10 fold. That you get what you give in many ways. Not all right in a nice and tidy timeline but always. :worship:

I also think it is a good thing I am an ocean away from the dink. Cause if I would have punched him in the kahunnies, I might be on the naughty list this year! :rotfl2::rolleyes1

So again for you trackers of timelines: :surfweb:popcorn:::3dglasses

Wed. Dec 16th:
Carsyn and I leave MN, meet Dan in Des Moines where he will be working. Spend the night. 4 hours from us in the right direction.

Treyner leaves from Durango, CO to head to Knoxville, TN with his Dad along for the drive.

Baylor is enjoying snow boarding in Steam Boat Springs, CO.

Thurs. Dec 17th:
Dan, Carsyn and I drive early to Knoxville (leaving one car at Dan's friends home) to meet up with Shannn/her family.

Treyner drops off his Dad in Nashville at the airport, then heads solo from Nashville to Knoxville.

Baylor last day in Steam Boat Springs, CO.

Fri. Dec. 18th -

Treyner bids adieu to his jeep and hand the keys to Shannn's hubby who might just feel a bit wild and take it for a joy ride since it's got legit paint now and a custom exhaust system and bumpin tunes.

Dan, Carsyn, Treyner and I get on the road by 5:30 am to head to Anderson, SC to visit Treyner's new school and coach. Arrive by 9:30 a.m. (originally a 2 1/2 -3 hour drive but due to landslide - need to add another hour with detours.)

Leave Anderson University by 11:30 to drive to Orlando. (8 hour drive)

Baylor leaves Denver at 2 p.m. Arrives in Mpls at 4:10 p.m.. Leaves Mpls for Orlando at 5p.m.

Pick up Baylor at Airport in Orlando by 9:20 p.m.

By 9:30 p.m. be in the car heading to CBR finally with everyone in tow. :thumbsup2:worship::woohoo:

Now what can go wrong with a detailed itenerary like that? :scared1:

Since I am arriving late I do think I need to do the online check in. Please give me advice on how that works.

Just so you know,I"m going to wave at every van I pass on Thursday. I"ll be heading from St. Louis to MN. I'm sure our cars will pass each other at some point. I'm equally sure that everything will work out with your detailed itinerary and that you will all be tucked in safely at CBR and have a great, great time!!!!

Tell Dan and the kids Merry Christmas, etc! OH, and tell Mickey and the princesses hi from me and I'll see them in FEb.

Whew, that sounds like a complicated few days! It seems like you have everything worked out and I'm sure everything will go according to plan! The trip seems so close now and I'll bet you and the kids are veeeery excited!! I'm so jealous you get to go so soon and i have to wait 5 months :(

Have a great time! :yay:
and tell Treyner Happy Birthday! (even though I'm a day early)

I will tell him. He called last night at 11:40 p.m. my time and was freaking out about his psych class. His prof finally sent him his current grade and he thought it was better than it was. He has a final today and needs to make sure his grade is good enough for Anderson. He is panicking. I think this whole mess is finally crumbling him. I just said to him to do his best, pray and move on.

I hate feeling helpless.

Happy 19th Birthday Treyner! :cool1::yay::cheer2:

I love you my beautiful son. May you always know you are loved and love yourself. My wish for you is to be blessed with a successful year in growth in all areas of your life and never accept anything but the best from yourself. That doesn't mean you are always the best.
Just that you give your best.
Always.

So I am up for suggestions.

Let me know what you got.:confused3:rotfl2:

Hey Lady!

Im an hours flight or a ferry ride away from Ireland and Im free next week. Just sayin' :rolleyes1

Happy Birthday Treyner! Ah 19, I remember being 19. Actually, scratch that, I don't think I do - the legal age for drinking over here is 18! :rotfl2:

That could be an issue but I think his concern over finals are consuming any thought he has about partying. :worship:

The first part of the journey to Florida is over with some minor heart attacks!

Baylor's flight was set for 9 a.m. This morning at 5 a.m. I was awake, showered and ready to get him up. Breakfast for him was ready and when I went into his room...what did I find?

I found his snow pants, totally dirty from his friends house yesterday. He had hung them so they were dry but beyond gross. A 13 year old boy thought there was nothing wrong with packing dirty pants since he was just going to get them dirty snowboarding. The mother wanted him with clean pants similar to clean underwear. Then we deicovered his missing glove under his bed and made sure he had the compression stockings he had washed and hung. He had been with his Dad on Sunday so the last minute stuff was handled.

Washed his pants on a small, light load, double checked what he had taken out of the bag when he went snowboarding here Friday night and we were out the door by 6:45 a.m. I am certain I was threatening bodily injury for messing up a pre-packed bag.

Flew through the bank and got gas fast and on the road before 7 a.m.

It takes 20 minutes to get to the airport from my house.

Then we hit a traffic jam that was not there for any reason but cars can park on a highway.

I am calling the airport, calling the burn camp coordinator etc. Wanting a back-up plan if we miss the plane.

We got to the airport at 8:20 a.m. for a 9 a.m. flight.

The original thought was I would go in with Baylor.

Now that was not an option because there was no time to park.

I flew into the curb side check in area - showed the sky cab the paperwork and he said Baylor had to go inside. :scared1:

He then became the sexiest man on the planet as he said, "I will take him in and get him to the front of the line." :worship:

Within 5 minutes Baylor was checked and in the security line. God has a sense of humor and this is proof. A non busy road becomes a parking lot and a Monday, normally busy day of travel, is clear sailing.

Baylor was through security and had met the other 14 year old boy he was travelling with by 8:31 a.m. :cool1:

They then head to their gate (I am on the phone the whole time) and I hear their names being called for last minute boarding over the loudspeaker.

I am panicked now, asking where are they exactly. It turns out the boys were in the right concourse but the wrong section. They had seen "G" and ran not paying attention to 1-10 is this direction and 11-20 is that way. So after a Home Alone Moment where I could here them running and asking people to verify by pointing which way to run, they made it with no time to spare. :sad2:

I asked them to hand the phone to the flight attendant so I could verify they were not heading to Guam and she laughed!

Now I am just waiting for word they arrived in Denver. Should be there ina half an hour.

Will let you know! :rolleyes1

Have a ton of fun! I ran into Dan the other day, don't know if he told you. Wishing you the best vacation ever!:grouphug:

Sorry about the dink, you are right that it was lucky Treyner had a back-up plan and I hope he loves Anderson. I feel bad for the boys who have to leave school with no notice and try to figure all of that out right in the middle of finals. Some people just suck. :headache:

Glad Baylor made it to the plane and that they didn't fly to Guam! If I don't post again have a great trip and hug your family tight!

No he didn't but I am so busy blabbering lately about all the drama we are needing to negotiate through that he could have started to and I probably interupted him! :lmao:

Thanks for the well Wishes - waht do you think of a Disney Game night in Jan? It can be a pot luck at my house!

I hate that it is going to result in worse grades than they deserve. If you are up all night and freaking out about your future how can it not?
Glad Baylor made it to the plane and that they didn't fly to Guam! If I don't post again have a great trip and hug your family tight!

I will! Thanks sooooo much for being along for the ride.

Well guys! Dan is now gone, Baylor did arrive in Denver after a delay of 30 minutes due to a GPS break down that needed to be prepared!

My tummy is in offical butterfly mode and I am getting excited.

Small snafu this morning on which car Dan was driving. We have 3. One has been just sitting until we updated the Tabs and got the tires we bought for it put on. Dan has been out of town and or working non stop for 2 weeks now so today he was going to do tabs and tires before he left.

Our luck, the tires we got on Craigs list were not comaptable with our wheels. That is as much as I understand. Something about the manufacturer had wrong info on the web.

We found that out after paying $110 for tabs and $45 in gas to fill it up.

So the dillema was waste tons of money and not look around for a good deal on tires that fit the wheels we have, buy new wheels which we did not want to allocate money for or just drive the Mustang in the winter.

We thought we were going to put it in the garage now that it snowed.

Dan put the tires on craigs list - got a buyer comming to get them tonight! In fact if sold at the price asked for - will cover what we paid for wrong size tires plus a huge chunk towards a new set for us and will save the person buying them $280 plus tax off the listed rate by the manufacturer. Love it when everything helps everyone!

I will start the offical pic taking for the TR when Carsyn and I are leaving. I also am going to undertake a Food Porn thread and need to decide upon how I will rate the food.

Since we are a soccer family -maybe something with soccer. Otherwise I really do love The Little Mermaid Movie so maybe that. I will keep you in the loop.

2 more days! :dance3::yay::woohoo:

I leave tomorrow! I can't believe it!

I also have been up since 4 a.m. with a constant ticker going off in my skull over what needs to be done!

So I went purusing here until now :surfweb::rolleyes1 and need to get out of the office and make a list of last minute wonderments and get done.

Ugh!

And guess what I am thinking about the most?

I still haven't lost any more than 6 pounds!

In fact it seems my nerves have caused me to crave sugar like an Umpa Lumpa. :mad:popcorn:: (How exactly is that spelled anyway?)

I will check back in later! :dance3:

1 day!!!!

****Carsyn just came upstairs - asking where her pants are. Like they fit me or something! :lmao:

She washed and hung her jeans up on Sunday in the laundry room. It seems that it is a probability that Baylor - in haste yesterday when I woke him up and told him to hurry because I was afraid with traffic we would not get to the airport - not only wore, but also packed her jeans. :rotfl2:

I had done laundry :laundy: Sunday also and told him to get 2 pairs of jeans packed in his suitcase for Colorado from the basket in his room. That meant 2 more for Florida and 2 for Christmas in Iowa (Yes packing 3 different bags at once for 3 different locations so spreading out the clothes.)

At 5 am he may have just gone in the laundry rooma nd grabbed what was hanging versus what was in a basket right in front of him. I was up making breakfast so did not see what he grabbed.

When I came back down - He said he had put jeans in his suitcase and was set. I had asked how when I could see his basket had not been touched. :confused3

He said - I grabbed ones that were hanging.

I assumed he meant in his closet. :teacher:

Now I think he meant hanging in the laundry room. :scared1::rotfl:

Now that I think about it - his jeans yesterday had silver buttons on the pocket but he sometimes gets clothes from friends or with his Dad so I did not think much besides noticing that they were almost too short and he would need to donate them after this trip.

I would not assume he would fit into Carsyn's pants. He is 5'7 she is 5'4. he weighs almost 40 pounds less than she does. But with a belt - who knows? :confused3

So now I am going to have to go buy Carsyn some jeans because she is back in gymnastics and working out and toning up and truthfully only had 3 pairs of pants - as she wanted to get more as she kept re-defining her body.

And Baylor - who she wants to throttle for not answering his phone in Colorado at 6 am, on a ski trip, has girl jeans! :lmao:

Oompa Loompa. And no, I don't know why I know that. I have always struggled with my weight but the past few months have been horrible. I blame it on turning 40 in September. Although it is probably that I have gotten out of the habit of working out and into the habit of snacking too much.
