Move Your Louis Vuitton Luggage for my Piggly Wiggly Bags Please - Leave in 1 day!

YAYAY!! that's so exciting!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Congrats to Treyner and all of his teammates!
He is so excited he can't stand it. He gets a championship ring and loved the parade, festivities and hoopla with the team when they arrived yesterday. Here is a pic of him with a friend and the NCAA trophy.

More fun reading. I am so jealous by the way cause I want to be there too.

Come next year! Plan for it!

We have 9 days left before departure folks! 9 days and we ran the money numbers and will have enough to go and have the time we want to have. I am a firm believer in selling some stuff to go on vacation and it is stuff I had been too lazy to get rid of before. A tow package from a van I have not had since 2004 just sold on Craigs List for $75! Kind of a Cash in the Attic philosophy.

You are only as broke as what you are willing to hang on to.

We just do not believe in traveling on a CC so it is cash only and thus we do not overspend and can go again sooner than if Mickey clutched our wallets and CC and we did not face the bill until 3 weeks later when it came in the mail!

I need to run for a bit but will post the newest update a bit later.

Can December be any busier BTW? We just got a tree up yesterday - you will die when I show you the pics. It is the size of a Volkwagon. Literally ceiling high and sticks out 6 feet from the wall into the living room. Who needs floor space at Christmas?

It was like the Grizwals Chritmas. Cut it down ourselves and that sucker blew out when the binding the tree farm wrapped it in, was cut!

Post to come!

I can't believe you're so close to the trip!:banana::banana::banana:

I know I am so excited!:cool1:

Here is some pictures for your entertainment.

First up: Treyner's Jeep with his "custom & legit" detailing. All the black on the lower half and the wheel rims.

Then is our Grizwald tree on top of the van!

Nice tree! We can't have one this year so I'll have to live vicariously through yours. :) And congrats to Treyner and his team!

So close to WDW time - can't wait to hear what fun and craziness happens on this trip!

Oh my gosh!! That tree is huge! It probably wouldn't even fit in my house!!!

And that's great that the school made such a big deal out of the boys. They deserve it after all of their hard work. Even watching my ex go through all the training, games, etc. last year was exhausting!! I know I could never do it. I do know I would like a parade in my honor though ... :cloud9:

I need to take some pics taht can show it all lit up. The funny thing is that we will have almost no presents since the trip is the present - so mongo tree bare neked underneath! :lmao:

I hope to entertain you to the fullest capacity within my being! ;)

Fit in your house- yes. Take up all the room - yes.

Ace - our Golden Retriever, year old, PITA, cute as heck pup, who craves eating paper like he was a beaver not a dog - has found he likes chewing on wood ornaments when alone. He has major seperation anxiety! Ugh!

I know what you mean. They do work their hind ends off as hard as the team with no recognition usually. Can Mom's get a parade too! Esp. goalie Mom's! I never had a gray hair until the last 2 years! I blame him! :rolleyes1

Did the tree break any windows when you untied it? or were there any critters hiding inside?

I am really excited to have a trip ahead with not as much stress as I thought and then...whamo...a stupid blizzard! We are expected to get up to 8-10" here and I have a party tom. night I hope my host does not cancel! Every lost party is losing $300 in my pocket on average!

I have been reading through some peoples QS meal plans and they look great. We might keep a few of the TS and jsut do apps or split a fave dessert or something small but mainly will be enjoying some QS and I will do a QS food porn thread when we get back!

I also realised that it is only like $6 differenc eto add the 4th day to a non hopper base ticket so I think we will just go ahead and keep that plan.

What I need to do is get organized to see Anita & Shannon while down there. Maybe do some calling tonight!

Again the days attendance is:

19th - AK - we will try Flame Tree BBQ and maybe some choices at Yak-n-Yetti for CS. Have a 1 p.m. at TS for Yak N Yetti - thought of just doing the wontons with pineapple and cream cheese everyone raves about. Has anyone here liked them? Dinner that night will be DTD - WPE.

20th - MK - are OOP dinner will be Ohanna's at 4:55 p.m. then back to MK for EMH - QS will include Columbia Harbor House and Cosmic Rays.

21st - DHS - we currently have a sci-fi ressie but thinking of cancelling as I do not think there was a must do/want to try that I can remember. Instead eat at Starring Rolls, snack at Writers Stop and eat at POFQ/PORS that night after we are ready to leave.

22nd - Epcot - have a 1:05 at Tutto's but might drop that as well. I love Italian and maybe will go split a few things. Eat at Morracco for sure and split other CS along the way - probably eat at Sunshine and split some Foccacia/Turkey massive sandwiches.

23rd - Hit DTD again if need be and EOS to get our food to go on our way home - need to stop by the Disney CM store to at some point. Not sure if we might see Ice also - depending on time. Then head home!

I think with the shorter trip - it actually might be a true blessing to spend not so much time at the TS restaurants. We also will be stopping and eating on the way down and back so no shortage of food!:rolleyes1

Elizabeth, why can't you have a tree? And yes congrats to Treyner and his team this season.

Congrats to Treyner and the team!!!
(Has it made him second guess his decision at all? I hope not!)

Your tree is big. We went and cut ours down on Sunday, but luckily we had Sam's new truck to put it in. Last year we had ours strapped on top of the van, as well. We haven't decorated ours, or put lights on, but I'll try and share pictures when we get it done. Right now it's just a poor pine tree sitting in our kitchen! :rotfl2:

I think I've told you our itinerary before but it's:
20th: DHS/Brown Derby/MK EMH
21st: EP/Les Chefs de France/California Grill
22nd: MK/Chef Mickey's/Yachtsman
23rd: DHS/Grand Floridian

I can't believe there's only 12 more days until our trip!! We have 7 1/2 more days of school; Morgan tests for his black belt on Saturday; I still have no Christmas cards addressed or sent; I still have no presents bought; Courtney's birthday party is Thursday; and Sam's birthday is next Tuesday. AAAACCK!!

Elizabeth, why can't you have a tree? And yes congrats to Treyner and his team this season.

Our condo is on the market. In the interest of not making the living room look teeny, we decided not to put up the tree (putting it up involves moving the furniture in a weird way, and we don't have any place else to put the furniture as we already have two storage units crammed full of stuff).

So, I just put up our stockings and a couple of little decorations. Problem now is that we are having an open house on 12/20 so I need to make it a little more festive, I think. I'm going to put up my christmas village (dept. 56 christmas in the city, if anyone is into christmas village collectibles :)) and hopefully that will help; if not, i'll go buy a small tree I guess. Our usual one is 7 feet, I think (I don't typically do real trees, I'm allergic to a lot of them, so we have a fake pre-lit one that we normally use).

Oooh, I'm sorry you can't have your tree out. I'm sure your other decorations will be beautiful. Next year you can out do yourself. ;)

Hi everyone.

This weekend I need to pack everyone - Baylor twice - and get ready to leave in 5 days. 5 days. I am so not ready. :rolleyes1

I need to vent for a moment. I want to get on a plane and find the coach for Fort Lewis, and kick him square in his kahonnies. Then jump on his back and pull the rest of his straggling leftovers from his freakin head.

You see, Treyner had his mtg today. The mtg he has been asking for since September to hear what Fort Lewis wants from him. The mtg the coach posted on his door on Wed for today.

The mtg where Treyner wanted to understand what the heck happened this year and make sure they understood that he choose Fort Lewis and wanted Fort Lewis but needed to be responsible and have a back up plan. The mtg he has been practicing with me for 3 weeks solid about what to say to make sure he was respectful.

Guess who did not come to the meeting?:confused3

The jackwad himself. :headache:

He seems to be in Ireland.
Where he is from.
Left Wednesday.
Unless someone dies or had a major life threatening illness...I want him under my front tire.

I do not think I have ever heard Treyner so angry. Shaking in his voice angry. Voice cracking, trying to hold back the tears, angry.

Assistant Coach was there. He said they were only keeping 3 goalies right now from the red shirt freshman (out of 5) and they knew Treyner was looking at Anderson plus he was the most costly to keep because he was out of state tuition, so they wished him well.

Then the coach asked about where Anderson was. He knew nothing about them. The fact they made the sweet 16 this year. The fact that they lost to the team Ft. Lewis beat in the national championship game in a shoot out, in the sweet 16. Nothing. Which tells you that their nose is so far up their tukkuses that they think their cr@p don't stink so why look at your possible competition. :sad2:

Here's my feelings.

I can't be angry because this dink was not who Treyner signed up to play with. He was not the coach that sold us on comming there. He was not who Treyner gave up his family for 6 months for.

What I am angry about is be a man. Be a decent human being and if Treyner is not a fit, if you think he is going to cost to much to keep and you are loosing 70% of your team as seniors and you need to maximize your dollar, then I get it. If he stinks, I understand.

What is ridiculous and shows a complete manby- panby- baby, is to let your assistant, who was never part of the decesion to come to Fort Lewis, tell this kid what he has wanted and begged to know since Sept.

What I want to punch him in the throat about, is Treyner deserved the same respect he has given his coach. Be upfront and be honest. That is what I have taught my son and that is what I expected them to give Treyner. Again, expecting something from a Coach, a leader, someone who is supposed to guide him on and off the field.

I told Treyner that I would not want him playing for a hunk of garbage like that. I don't care if he is on a team that looses every game. If you are taught to be a sneak and a cheat like that, what kind of man would my son become?

I am just sick in my gutt over this. I know I come accross as some psycho nut job but this is the first time I can say I have ever thought Treyner doesn't deserve what he got. I am the kind of Mom that does not think my son is perfect. I usually ask, what did you do?

The saddest part of this whole thing, is that I think something is up. I wonder if he wasn't offered a coaching job in the pro's or something and thus he was gone. If he is not going to be here next year than it could explain his not being present.

Either way, you don't let your glory cr@p on someone elses parade. A 5 second phone call would have been all it would have taken. When you do not give respect, you do not earn it from me.

The current Varsity goalie (the one who won the championship) told Treyner the other day that he thought Treyner was the best goalie he had ever seen. Quickest reflexes, reaction time and more focus than anyone else. He said he thought no one else but Treyner deserved the baton and he did not understand why Treyner was not given any info.

So Treyner is more glad than ever about the choice to head to Anderson. Really devastated and hurt though and when your kid tells you he wants to just come home, it rips you in half.

I am going to write a letter to the AD and also to the Board of Regents. I also will be happy to post everything I legally can about my son's experience with the coach so that either the coach gets a new attitude on how to be a human being to kids, or they find someone who does.

Okay. I feel better. For the record, I have never punched anyone in the throat or ran over any human being.

There was a turtle once in Florida. It spit out the back of the van like a baseball. I still feel bad.

I may have rode someone like a monkey and pulled their hair. I am not confirming it. Just saying maybe.

The end.

Don't call the fuzz.

I really have no weapons here.

Or elsewhere.

Maybe some firecrackers.

And a potato launcher.

Plus 3 Marshmallow shooters.

Oh and some socker boppers.

Man I just want to sock him in the jaw.

Maybe Dan will stand in and let me get some frustration out.

I need to look up the hours for kick boxing at the Y.

Wouldn't that be a riot to video?

I would look like a scene from, " Mrs. Potato Head takes on Kung Foo."

k.

Really I need to go.

Maybe I can watch Lifetime and get sappy over a Christmas movie. I just watched the tail end of Philledelphia. Hoping it would do the trick. All it made me do was get angrier about people who don't do the right thing. And want to hug Tom Hanks.

I bet Tom Hanks would even want to kick him in the shin.

Thanks for understanding.

5 days to go. 5 days to go.:dance3:

:grouphug::grouphug: I am so sorry that that scumbag did that to Treyner. I wonder if they will be getting rid of the kid from NM as well since he is out of state tuition.

:mad: I am so pissed right now for you and Treynoer. I do have a recommendation on who else to contact with your letter. I would be contacting the NCAA so they can look into it as well. It is not fair to these kids to give up everything for a team that wanted him and then them turn around and basically dump him because he "costs too much". I could see if he sucked but he doesn't per their own info (yes I looked it up because I had never heard of Fort Lewis other than the military installation in Washington where I was stationed for 3 years).

Just remember everything happens for a reason and there is a good reason for this even though we don't know what it is yet (I have to keep telling myself this as well). :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

Wow. This really stinks, but it can be a good life lesson....tell him to chalk it up to life 101 and let it be the reason he's NEVER like this to anyone.
There's always something that we can learn in the circumstances of life, this just happens to be one of those carppy circumstances. Now Treynor knows his coach is clearly showing himself to not be a real man, and now he's learned not everyone will do the right thing.
As we've talked about...you can't make other's always do the right thing, we just get to be the example of doing the right thing the best we can and move on. :)

Love you lady, don't let it get to you either. There's a vacation to be had and you fought long and hard for a good time, so have it and can the rest of it because it's not worth letting it ruin your wonderful vacation.

Hell hath no fury like a ticked of Mom!

Hopefully, he gets what he deserves...actually eventualy he will... I didn't think Ireland was a kind of trip you take on the spur of the moment.
