I have a “girls” trip scheduled for my mom and me 9/6-9/13 at YC. But now I am torn about moving over to the GF with the recent discounts the dropped! We’ve stayed at YC before and love it, especially the convenience with my mom using an ECV and the transportation options available. But we’ve never stayed at the GF and I don’t know if it’s worth the move? For what it’s worth, I’ve also been topaying with a 1-bdrm at either Riviera or BRR as well. I could really use some input 🤪

The GF is under major refurbishment including the upcoming lobby renovation. It may be during your dates

Partly depends on which parks you plan to spend the most time. Monorail resorts are very convenient to MK, but if you mostly plan to go to Epcot or HS, GF wouldn't be my first choice. Similarly, if you mostly plan to go to MK, then staying at the other side of the property isn't the best choice either.

Given your dates and the ECV, I would stick with YC this time. The GF lobby may very well be under construction during your visit which could be tricky navigating with an ECV.

September will also be subject to many rain storms/tropical systems and at YC you will be able to access dining from your room without going outside.

I would also want the ability to just walk/roll into the IG for F&W festival to sample all the yummy offerings :goodvibes

With your Mom in the ECV I’d stay. Any time she doesn’t have to bus is an excellent time.

I adore RIV but if you aren’t confident in driving the ECV the Skyliner there can be annoying because it only slows waaaaay down instead of fully stopping to load ECVs. My ECV user doesn’t care but others do.

All great input! We tend to avoid the split-stays since we like to unpack and I don’t want to repack more than once😁 We tend to divide our time fairly evenly among the parks but do like to return for pool/rest time. We may have my 5yo niece along and I’m sure she’d love SAB. Given that I’ve already changed resorts from SSR, to Poly to YC, I think YC will do us good for this time! I do appreciate all the feedback!
