Mousesavers reporting a huge deal for first half of 2009 coming tomorrow!

They are tied to the reservation number. That way when someone cancels a trip, which lots of people obviously do, there aren't millions of ADR's that the cancelled people won't be using. Maybe I'm wrong about this but I'm pretty sure when you cancel a room only or package, the ADR's are lost.

Nope, folks making ADRs never even ask for a reservation number. If they ask what hotel you're staying at it is only for the "180+10" rule(if that will still exist) for onsite guests.

It's only linked to a phone number, especially considering you can make ADRs if you're offsite, live in Orlando, etc. Canceling your reservation will NOT cancel your ADRs, tours, etc

(Another reason sometimes it's harder to get a reservation than necessary... unfortuantely there ARE dozens (hundreds?) of reservations that people make and never show up for!)

ETA: Aaaand everyone was already all over this! :rotfl:

Why in the heck would they make you go through this whole cancelling thing and force you to make a new reservation? That's just completely asinine. So, cancel the reservation I have for a room at the Contemporary, send me back my money, then here make a new reservation for the EXACT SAME THING and I'll give you $200 and then pay off the rest later? What kind of stupidity is at work here?

ITA! Whats the big deal in applying the discount to my existing ressie.. makes no sense, but hopefully that was just speculation to

Can someone here answer this...Do the tickets that come with the packages still expire after 14 days? I thought I read once that they expired the day of check-out.

They expire after 14 days, unless the "No Expire" option is added.

Several years ago the Ultimate Park Hopper ticket did expire the day of your check out.

That may change when the new dining system goes into effect next month. I was told by a cm when making my reservations that the new system is going to work out the loop hole of people making more then one dinner reservation for the same night. I don't know how true that is but that is what I was told

I'm supposed to pick my son up from marching band practice at 5 pm...hmmm...wonder how much trouble I will be in if I don't make it? I at least need to know the details so I can do the fuzzy math in my head while I wait for him in the parking lot!

I'd like to know this too! We have APs and I'm considering getting the package and saving the tickets for the next trip if that is possible. Is it???

I'm actually hoping this buy 4/get 3 plan isn't the discount... because it will actually cost me MORE than the free ticket upgrades I've gotten in the past. Here's my scenario... Jan 24-31 @ ASMu with 6 day hopper/WPFM... if I got free ticket upgrades, my cost would be $1537.18. If I buy 4/get 3, my cost is $1,659.70.

If it has to be "new" sure I could just do a new one but when I cancel the old one I loose all my ADR's. And those of us caught in the stupid "gap" between 180 day and 90 day ADR limbo worked HARD to secure those stupid ADR's! I'm not sure I'm willing to give those up, pretty sure I'd loose CRT and Le Cellier.

I'm getting frustrated that I've spent all day crunching these numbers and in the end it may very well have been a complete waste of time.

Your ADRs have NOTHING to do with your Hotel booking, TRUST ME!!! Don't let anyone make you think that. They are attached to your phone number!

i hope this is a good deal for our sakes! We've been on this board all day and the HUGE disney fans (the dissers) deserve a HUGE discount!!! :wizard: They just don't realize all the money we spend in WDW!
keep praying!

28 mins to go. Will we see this pop up immediately on Mousesavers? Do all of you have DIS boards open as well as Mousesavers (or another)? I have never watched this closely for a new announcement before so just asking some of you who have done this before? Thanks.

Thanks everyone for the ADR information, that makes me feel SO much better about knowing I can safely rebook into a package!

I'm praying. I just have to tell DH about the surprise if the deal is real good. Might not be able to contain it all to myself.

Hey Mary.....Do you have your fingers ready to plug in that code on your website? It's really close to the time!

Anyone else going to puke from anticipation? :lmao:

pretty close!

How are you figuring out the discount?

I pull up rack rate, then take off the dining....aka Free Dining. Then I pulled up same check in date, but made it a four night package, with four day dining and four day tickets.

Again, this is all assumption that the last three nights are totally free!

not going to puke but I'm getting more gray hairs by the minute! My sick child just woke up and is now in her bed screaming - she is going to make it LOTS of fun to get through those stupid voice prompts! Whoever came up with that idea doesn't little children that scream whether someone is on the phone or not...

You should see my desk at work right now. There is absolutely no work related items. It's just my yellow legal pad with my potential travel dates, a calendar in case I have to change those dates, my existing August reservation number and my notations on how much our August travel package is costing.

Thank goodness my boss left early so he can't come in and put something gastly on my desk....like....I don't know....real work.

Tick tock, tick tock.

This has been the longest day EVER! :rolleyes1

The excited anticipation is worse than waiting for Christmas morning, waiting to go into labor, the morning of my wedding! (hehe, not really but it's up there)
