Is anyone else no longer receiving update notice emails from mousesavers.com? I used to get an email when Mary had updated the page but I no longer get the email. Thanks for any info.

I still get mine on the 15th of the month. Maybe you could go back to the website and enter your address in the space to subscribe. The internet is weird sometimes and maybe you just didnt get yours or somehow goit knocked off the list.

Yes doodle I know what you mean.......nearly every other day we'd get an email informing us that Mary had updated her site but I hadn't really noticed that they've stopped coming until I read your post.;) So you're not alone.:)

I didn't get mine either!!! I thought it was just me so I went to the website and tried to register again thinking I might have been removed from the list somehow and I got a message saying I was already registered. I wonder what the problem is??

I used to have this problem, too, and discovered that my e-mail service provider was sending the Mousesavers newsletter to the spam folder, and I would throw it away without realizing it. Check your spam filter and set it to exclude the newsletter, and it should start appearing regularly.

I'm not having a problem with getting my newsletter on the 15th of each month. It's only updates that don't come through anymore so I think she may have just stopped only the updates.:sunny:

I am still getting my emails, so they are still sending them out (got one this morning). I also suggest you re-enter your email. Who knows, she may have had a glitch and lost some of the emails she had stored.

I just subscribed a couple of weeks ago. I received an email confirmation and it stated that I would receive it on the 15th of each month. Also said since I had signed up after the 15th I wouldn't receive June's letter. Looking forward to getting my first one.

I have never gotten ANY e-mail on site updates. I do get the newsletter - MOST of the time.

I sometimes see that the website shows an update, but then I cannot find anything highlighted in red. Has that happened to anyone else?

I just went to the Mousesavers site and if you look at the big yellow box and scroll to the bottom of this box there is a link there that says:

Sign up to watch this page for updates! (Service provided by ChangeNotes.com - not affiliated with MouseSavers.com)

Just click on that and enter your email addy and you should get an email informing you every time Mary does any kind of update to the site.

I think I must of inadvertantly cancelled mine by mistake after we came back form our recent trip to WDW.:)

A lot of the time, I cannot see the red updates either. Foodlover, are you here? Any ideas?

Have a great day.:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I haven't been getting my updates & when I go on the web site... I see that it says update highlighted in red, I scroll all the way down & get no red highlighted areas. I thought it was me!!!

There is a service called ChangeNotes that sends out a daily e-mail if my site has been updated. You can get notices for the home page of MouseSavers or any other page you want to watch.

I do not run ChangeNotes! It is a completely outside company providing the notices, and I only link to it as a service to my readers. You have to subscribe to ChangeNotes separately -- my newsletter subscribers do not receive ChangeNotes automatically.

If you have signed up and you're not receiving ChangeNotes notices, the likeliest explanation is that your Internet Service Provider is filtering the notices and either deleting them or putting them in a "spam" folder. You can contact your ISP or ChangeNotes to find out how to fix that problem.

If you receive a notice from ChangeNotes and there is supposed to be an update but you don't see any red text, I'm willing to bet you have AOL. AOL does a TERRIBLE job of updating its cache. I am constantly getting e-mails from people who have AOL, saying they can't see the new info on MouseSavers. It has been updated, but AOL is still showing you the old version of the page. AOL is often 1-2 days behind on updating pages! Totally ridiculous and totally frustrating, but there is ZERO I can do about it. It's AOL's problem. You can try hitting "reload" or "refresh" a few dozen times and see if it finally loads the new page properly, but it may not work. You can also switch to IE or Netscape instead of using AOL's browser and that may help.

Occasionally you may go to a page on MouseSavers that shows it was updated today, but there is no red text because all I did was delete some outdated info. (The date changes automatically even if all I do is delete stuff.) However, that will show up on ChangeNotes as "some text was deleted" instead of the usual summary of the change, so you will know that there isn't anything new there.

If you're not receiving the MouseSavers Newsletter, which comes out on the 15th of each month, please visit this page:

http://www.mousesavers.com/newsletterhelp.html

Again, the problem is almost always that your Internet Service Provider is filtering the newsletters out as "spam." You'll have to contact your ISP to find out how to fix it.

Thanks!

Thanks Mary for your detailed explanation! I think the notices are getting filtered as spam. I would never have thought of that 'til I read what alvernon90 wrote.

I didn't think it was your fault Mary - just wondered if I had done something wrong! I so appreciate your web page. I used to check it every day and will willingly do so again if I can't get changenotes to work! You have provided so much helpful info to so many that I want you to know how grateful I am! Thanks!
