Mousekeeping question

I want to stay at OKW, i just have a simple question. I know that I read somewhere that mousekeeping was not everyday. Can someone clearup how mousekeeping works at a DVC resort. Do you get sheets everyday? or towels everyday? Thanks

You do not get mousekeeping everday. On day 4 of your trip they will give you clean towels and empty trash. This is Trash and Towel serivice. If you stay for more than 7 days they will clean on day 8. This is a full cleaning. If you would like that, you can get it. It cost though. I am not sure of fees for each room. They are different depending on size of room. If you are in a 1 bdrm or larger, they come with washer and dryers so you can wash towels sheets etc. I personally like the fact that housekeeping is not in my room all the time. I would prefer to clean myself.

A little trick my family and I do... When we first arrive I order 2 extral towel packages ($12.00) this way every one has a total of 3 towels, 3 hand towels and 3 wash clothes. Then on the 2nd night I put in a load of linens (very easy with the washer/dryer right in the unit with you. I mean you have to pass it to get to the bathroom LOL). Every day before we leave for the parks we collect the trash (Lots of extra liners in the cans) and but it in the garbage (BCV's had a big room at the end of each floor for trash and recycleables). Our room stayed pretty fresh and we always had clean towels available.

Whenever I read these threads, I feel like the dirtiest, most uncouth person around. I want to confess that I don't use a clean towel everyday. Is there something wrong with me?

If you stay on cash with CRO, you will get full cleaning every day. If you stay on points you will get modified cleaning. If you are staying less than 8 nights, you will get your trash removed and your towels replaced on day 4 with day 1 as check in day. If you are staying 8 nights or more, you will get a full cleaning on day 4 with your trash removed and towels replaced on day 8. Then it starts over if you are staying long, day 12 full cleaning, day 16 T&T, etc.

You will get four bath towels, two hand towels and four face cloths in a studio and one bedroom. Multiply by two for a two bedroom. Multiply by three for a three bedroom. Hang up your towels after you shower/bathe and reuse them the next time you shower/bathe.

Even with full cleaning everyday (cash through CRO), you will not automatically get clean sheets every day.

I wash towels and sheets once a week at home, unless it's so humid they don't dry each day. I don't think I'm unclean. I'm usually clean when I get out of the shower. So I'm using a clean towel on a clean body/hair. I think others might be a little extravagant or wasteful. Just the environmentalist in me.

Just to correct this:

If you stay 7 days or less, on day 4 you get Trash and Towel

If you stay 8 days or longer, on day 4 you get a Full Cleaning, and on day 8 you get Trash and Towel. This cycle then repeats every 4-days: Day 12 = Full Cleaning, Day 16 = T&T, Day 20 = Full Cleaning, etc.

Keep in mind that day 1 is your check-in day, so the T&T(or full cleaning) occurs after your 3rd night's sleep.
