one of our favorite stores in EPCOT was/is Mouse Gears.
They had reduced the size since the overhaul of Future World.
When I look on MDE, there is no mention of it.
Is it still around?

We went through it on our last trip. Really enjoyed Mouse Gears. Agree, nothing special. Not sure we will spend any time there on our next trip. Very disappointing inside.

As much as I dislike much of what's being done to my beloved EPCOT (looking at you, Harmonius), I think the Creations Shop is a great improvement over Mouse Gear. I thought the decor was getting old, the carpet was getting old, the layout was convoluted. Creations is brighter, nicer, and to us has a cooler vibe.

As an aside, I think Creations' companion Connections Cafe/Eatery is a big upgrade of the Electric Umbrella.

It's certainly good to know I'm not the only one who didn't care for Creations.:sad2: I thought maybe it was just me. It doesn't help that I loved Mouse Gear and it was the first place I headed to every visit to Epcot.
I loved it too, spent a lot of time and money in there. This time I only went in Creations to walk in AC on the way to Guardians.

Some of the decor and check-out setup reminded me a lot of a Barnes & Noble bookstore that I used to frequent in downtown Boston years ago. It just brought it to my mind instantly.

I don't understand how it's different
They both sell Disney merchandise
Sure they physical buildings changed but what is sold didn't
Well, other than the obvious that the merchandise has changed but even if MouseGears was still there the stuff being sold in Connections would be what's being sold in MouseGears. No?
What am I missing?

I hated how they rearranged MouseGears what seemed like every day. So far, Connections is mostly stayed the same configuration.

I get your point, but Amazon and Walmart also sell Disney merchandise.

But for some of us, shopping at WDW is part of the park experience, and the "physical buildings" are an important part of that.

It was called Mouse Gear, not Mouse Gears, and it is gone, for the most part - It's got a similar store in the same place though.

If it helps, you could ask Magic Candle Co. to make a product you could call Mouse Gearing, a scent based on a not-at-all-faint smell of urine combined with the aromas of screen-printed shirts and plastic ears. Guaranteed to take you back.

Mouse Gear was a bigger store and more variety. One big pet peeve with the new store is the AP stuff is not all together. I asked a CM last time I was there and she said it was just all mixed in with the other stuff and you had to look for it.
