I've never seen this question here.......do you buy your kids new mouse ears every time? I can't imagine bringing our pair back and forth, I had enough trouble just getting them home in the first place without crushing them......yet to buy t hem every time is expensive too! what do you do??

I bought the Minnie ear hat once but DD didn't leave it on for long so I didn't bother trying to pack it the next trip. The next time we went, I bought the headband style Minnie ears for my DD. Those are easy to pack and she left it on so we'll take those as long as they still look decent. We also both have Tink bucket hats that we pack. I figure we'll spend the same amount on souvenirs either way but there's no point buying another hat that we don't really need at home.

DD7 got a Minnie ears visor when we were there in 2005. She still wears it a lot. She even wore it to all her softball games this summer, since she needed a visor anyway. (I never would have done that if I was a kid, I would have been embarrassed, but she loves to be funny, and that's what she wanted to wear!) If we had gotten the regular mouse ears, I'm sure they're never worn again once you get home, and neither of them really wanted the regular ones anyway. DD10 just got a regular ball cap with Minnie playing softball on it, but it's too small now, so we'll be on the lookout for a new hat for her this trip.

my dd got her mickey ears in DL in about 1998, she is planning on bringing them again this year!

I wonder if you could get the year embroidered somewhere on the ears each time you visit (in small print)? That would be a neat keepsake. I may try to do that for DD when we return in Dec. Hmmm....

For us, it is a tradition to buy a new pair of mouse ears everytime we go. There is always something new and adorable for my DD to choose from. It is actually a pretty inexpensive thing to buy too .:goodvibes

I used to take them back and forth each trip, but he got to where he didn't want to wear them much anymore, so I started leaving them home. Last year he got a really cute pair of pirate Mickey ears on his Pirate Adventure Cruise. The ears are probably more resilient than you think... we go to Disneyland a few times a year and I probably packed those things in our luggage at least 15 times (30 if you count both ways!)

I got a pair for DD2 in March and she rarely wore them then and only occasionally will she ask to put them on now. We may go again in Dec. I may bring them along, but for sure won't buy another pair. We may buy somehting else similar, depending on if she wants it or not. The ears were more for me wanting her to have a pair.
I had a heck of a time finding a place to put her name on it and finally got it emboidered at DTD's christmas store. Every time I asked at the parks, I got directed to some other place. Anyone know where they do it at the parks. (stitched or embroidered)
