I just realized that we'll be in WDW on Mother's Day during our trip next May (5/13-5/20) It just so happens that DH & I will be traveling with my parents. Can anyone suggest a special meal that day?

For those that have been there on Mother's day in the past, is there anything special going on?

Thanks in advance for the suggestions, everyone on these boards are always so helpful!

Hi!
I do not mean to "cut in" on your thread but could I ask you a question, please? Just what day/date is Mother's Day on in 2006? TIA!

The Flower & Garden Show :flower: will be going on then and I know that in past years, they have had a Mother's Day Brunch in Epcot. The year I went, it was at the Odyssey building, which is used only for special events these days. It's located between Test Track & Mexico.

I'm sure that any of the nicer restaurants will be difficult to get into on that day, so make your ressies ASAP!

I took my Mom this year for her first ever trip to WDW!! She is 72 years old! We did the Mother's Day Brunch at Epcot. It is on Sat and Sun and held at the Special Events Center between UK and Canada. Just pay attention and make your ressies as soon as you can cause they fill up fast. We really enjoyed it. They also have several different spots set up to take FREE pix. They will mail them to you later. Happy planning!

My Mom and I have done Mother's Day trips 3 or 4 times. They give out carnations at the gates on Mother's Day. They take a free picture at Epcot, similiar to the MVMCP pictures.

We have our Mother's Day dinner at CRT (her favorite).

We were at WDW Mother's Day '05 & took a day off from the parks just to enjoy the pool & resort. We stayed at POR so we headed over to Olivia's at Old Key West for dinner -- they did offer a Mother's Day meal (steak) that included a special dessert.

After dinner, we did a carriage ride around POR. My mom thought that was a terrific way to end the night & appreciated the unique Mother's Day gift.

My wife spent her mothers day having quality time with my two DS traveling to WDW. We left just outside of Richmond VA starting at 4:30am and arrived at Fort Wilderness at 11:00pm.

Lots of great suggestions, thanks!

I'll mention the brunch in Epcot, maybe she would enjoy that. How do I go about making ressies, call the regular WDW-DINE #?

My parents are leaving for WDW on Saturday (I'm jealous) so I told her to figure out what her favorite restaurant is so I can make arrangements. We've been there several times, so this trip will just refresh her memory!

Thanks:-)

We had breakfast with the princesses at CRT. :goodvibes :goodvibes

www.allearsnet.com has info on the special brunches for Mothers Day in year's past.

We were there this year, we went to Epcot and got the free family picture and she got a carnation when we entered. We spent the day drinking and eating our way around the world instead of trying to get into a meal - we had a blast! But that is fun for our family and may not be for others - she enjoyed relaxing at Epcot and really spending the entire day soaking in the food and shopping each country offered. We didn't rush, or stick to a schedule. We laughed a lot, took lots of pics, and did lots of people watching =)

We will also be there on Mother's Day. We were there last year on Mother's Day as well. They handed out flowers in Epcot and free photos too! We had a great time. It is a fantastic way to spend Mother's Day!
