Does anyone have a Disney song suggestion for Mother-Son dance at wedding?

I am curious about this also. I have two sons and they are not getting married but I like to be prepared.

I have two sons too and they BOTH are getting married so I need two songs! One is a year off though, the other one is a month away.

You'll Be in My Heart by Phil Collins.

Any particular reason why it has to be Disney?

I have decided that my son and I (he is currently 6) are dancing to "once upon a dream" from sleeping beauty at his wedding. For real though, we are. :upsidedow

The Hokey Pokey. There is absolutely no other dance appropriate for a grown man to do with his mother.

Geeze. Who started this dancing at weddings stuff anyhow? Dance instructors, trying to drum up business?

I've only ever heard of Father/Daughter dances at weddings. The go-to dance being Leader of the Band, of course. Until it was dethroned by Butterfly Kisses.

Does the Mother chose or the son?
When my niece got married her husband chose, yes HE chose, Love Me Tender. He chose it because he was born the day that Elvis died, his Mother went into labor when she heard that Elvis had died.
Even sweeter, he's a musician, and for the Father/ Bride dance he recorded with a full band a lullaby that her father, also a musician, had written for her when she was a baby.
SO my point is, I think the son usually choses, but if you`re chosing something yourself, pick something that is very special to you.

My MIL choose "unforgettable" last time I checked, DH was marrying me, not dying.

by any chance does anyone watch Sullivan and Son, and if so did you see the grown son and his mom singing at the bar :rotfl:

It's not a Disney song but I like "I Hope you Dance" by LeeAnn Womack.

As a wedding professional, I've seen lots of Mom/Son dances. The two most popular songs from my experience are:

Always a Woman - Billy Joel (which I think is a little odd?)

Mama - Boys II Men

Now, never been a huge Boys II Men fan, but as a mom of an 8 year old boy, I have a hard time making it through that song. In case you haven't heard it:

OT: Saddest father/daughter dance I ever saw was at a military wedding. Both bride and groom are military. The bride's dad died 2 years prior to her wedding, so she danced with her brother to "Dance with my Father again"

Cried my flippin eyes out.

My son is getting married soon. We will be dancing to Puff the Magic Dragon. That song gets me every time.

Great Suggestions! I am already crying just watching the youtube clips and reading lyrics to Puff the Magic Dragon!
