Mother - Daughter trip!! Where to stay?

That's a great decision! It will be perfect for a mother-daughter trip.

I haven't been to Disney in almost 3 years and so my mom and I (57 and 34) are taking a trip alone to celebrate my birthday in January.

Where should we stay. I was thinking of maybe renting DVC points? My main concern is I don't wanna stay in a construction zone. I'm so out of the loop! What has been recently refreshed?

My daughter and I did a mother/daughter trip (I think my daughter was your age and I may have been two years older than your mom) and we stayed at French Quarters. It is a very peaceful resort. We arrived late January and stayed until early February.
